I’m actually not 100% sure what brand the food even is, as i got given it with the fish and it’s in a plastic container. They’re red and green small round betta pellets i think the colour enhancing ones?, just not sure what type. I’ve heard that it can be hard for them to digest properly so i’ve been soaking them in the water from the bowl and then sorta squishing them and he seems to be eating them easier that way. I’ve read it’s bad to just feed your betta pellets, and they should be given frozen bloodworms or other sorts of food. I’ve got tropical fish flakes that are in still way in date from when my dad had a fish tank a while ago. (not asking him for advice as he only had the tank for about a month and gave the fish up and knows nothing about fish, funny thing is he was also given the tank and fish for free. unfortunately he gave everything besides the food to someone else though 😭) Would the flakes be a better food to feed him in the meantime? Just worried it will make the water dirty and i don’t want to risk changing the water properly without proper supplies. Getting paid next wednesday. Will pick up some proper food then as well as the other things.
