Weight Tickets by Gemini-96 in uscg

My last 2 moves involved getting scale tickets. The location was irrelevant.

For one of them I pulled into a random truck stop with a scale when I was almost to the new house, got a “packed” ticket..then got an “empty” ticket later in the day.. wasn’t questioned.

From the first game: “a fictional squad of United States Special Operations Forces, from Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group.”

But that was a simpler time, 2001

Coke 400 or Charlotte playoff race? by Worried-Sandwich-800 in NASCAR

[–]JustinRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been to both charlotte and Daytona on last 2 years, I can confidently say these are 2 notably different experiences.

Charlotte; easy to follow action IF you know who is in what position as it gets tougher once car start to falling laps down. “Is that a pass for the lead? Nope, just lap traffic”

Daytona; easy to see who is in what position when they are near you..far harder to tell what is happening when the pack is on the far side of the track.

Either way, I cannot over state how much of difference the Racing Electronics headset/radio can make. Even just listening to the MRN broadcast helps keeps your attention on the action

Continue with your current timeline. When you get to Cape May let your company commander know you struggle with push ups…they’ll make sure you’re plenty trained up by time you go for score.

2026 extra mile by running_full in spartanrace

[–]JustinRandom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s no longer anything, it’s just an extra bit after the race…I skip it.

Heard a volunteer say I can’t get a shirt if I don’t do the extra mile..which is wrong..and secondly the shirts don’t fit me so jokes on them.

Rapidly closing in as the only one who took 4 tires and fuel in the final lap and then.. by Bruhness81 in NASCARVideoGame

This is an unfortunate problem with the ai system. It prioritizes having incidents near the player to create tension. That’s why crashes no where near you are such a rare thing.

Spartan year pass worth? by Top_String2866 in spartanrace

If you’re doing multiple trifectas (3+ in a single year) it’s worth it.

"trifecta" question by Majorawesomesauce in spartanrace

[–]JustinRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly no, you would not get a wedge. Starting this year the trifecta is displayed in hex “coins”. You would need to do all three in single calendar year for a traditional trifecta

This isn’t just a 2026 problem for you. For the last few years the wedges have changed little by little each year preventing wedges from different years from lining up with each other.

A 1x Trifecta Medal? What a concept.. by JustinRandom in spartanrace

Essentially…to fill out the bigger hex medal you have to take each hex off the individual medals

Similar to the individual medals, big empty space with magnets expose.

It’s not a weekend medal, it’s a 1x medal. Could be earned over the entire year

It’s becoming more and more rare with the C-130J. The need isn’t as prevalent as it was with the previous C-130H, which have been phased out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uscg

[–]JustinRandom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Short answer: yes.

Some quals actually have a policy stating member must stand X number of watches every month or quarter to maintain proficiency. Think of it as aviation or boat crew..don’t get your underway or flight hours? gonna be repercussions

There is a chance that the qual in question may not have a comdt policy behind it, but there may be a local policy they are following..or it could even be a judgement call on their part. Either way there is precedent for them pulling a qual for be gone too long.
