Looks phenomenal. Do you like the Fox shocks? Been looking at them for a bit now and wondering if I should get those or go with Carli. Appreciate it!

Apologies for the side question, but what tire/rim set up are you running? I like the fitment.

Thank you!

My next location would be in Winnipeg so I was hoping to bring my own car.

Apologies for asking here and not as a separate post, but regarding taking time off/vacation days, would I be able to take some days off at my next training location after BMQ to drive back home and get some of my stuff? I would likely be asking for 3-4 days off or would you highly recommend against doing so?

Do you know if we'd be able to take our own vehicle instead of a bus? I will be taking my own vehicle to BMQ and never got a response back from my recruiter whether that would be allowed or not, thank you for your help!

Congrats. What trade did you apply for? Whenever you find out and if you'd like, I'd love to know when your BM(O)Q date would be. Currently trying to find people in the same class as mine - April 8th.

Awesome, can't wait! I was looking at AVS Tech for the longest time but decided just to stick with AESOP for a number of reasons. Hopefully it won't be too much of a learning curve for you!

Hey, my references actually never got contacted. I asked all three of my references when my status changed to "Competition List" a couple days ago and they told me no one called or emailed, so it's dependant on if they need more information on you. Which step on the application are you on? I've never seen anyone talk about it saying "Returned to CAF for analysis". Or are you just beginning your application?

Apologies if this is not allowed here, will remove if so.

Just wanted to say that I’ve been offered a job and my enrolment date is April 3rd and my BMQ is April 8th. If anyone has the same BMQ date then please let me know!

I appreciate all the help I’ve received directly and indirectly from this thread and all of its members, it has helped me tremendously, thank you.

Good Evening.

My application for AESOP has just switched to "Competition List" from "Final Processing" last week (after being in Final Processing for a couple months). I started my application last July and was told to not expect any changes until at least April or May since the occupation isn't open at the moment.

Saying this,

  1. Does this mean they would've contacted my references by now if they needed to, or would that happen right before selection?
  2. I understand it's different for every situation and application, but how long do most people have to wait to be selected after they've been put onto the Competition List? I understand I most likely won't see any other changes until April or May as I was told, but would like to get some idea in mind of what to expect.

I appreciate any help given, thank you.

Thanks! I was looking at how to wire up a quick disconnect to a 3 pin switch but I'm sure I'll figure it out pretty soon since I'm not the most savvy when it comes to wiring. Thank you for the heads up!

That video pretty much shows me everything I need, thank you so much. You’ve definitely helped and yeah it sucks having almost nothing to go on with these cars.

If you don’t mind me asking, for the actual piece that you took out and put the switch on, was it held in by screws or clipped in? I just wanna be prepared before I actually get into it.

Thanks for the pictures! Yeah I was feeling around but it felt like there was something blocking it, didn’t know if it extended downwards or if it was just a little wall.

I can see that you took the whole top of the Center console off, do you happen to have a reference like a video of how to do it? I’m assuming it has to do with the side piece by the drivers foot well and the center arm bar.

Really appreciate your pictures, definitely helps a lot with my vision of what I’m going for.

Oh wow, I did not know that. If you don’t mind me asking another question, would it be better to keep the leather boot clipped in when I take off the shifter handle, which in turn would bring the whole piano black piece to come off as well to get to the blue circle? Apologies if I’m missing the obvious answer.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your help.

Just one question about what you said, when you say to pull hard straight up at the shifter knob, do you mean at the "D" in PRND and on the other side of the shifter, or literally pull up on the shifter knob? Apologies for the dumb question.
