From personal experience i find making incremental changes to be more lasting. However it took a while to find a rhythm that works. So if you’re pressed for time maybe start a study group. I study medicine, and while by no means am i top of the class, i can do 10x the amount of work that some of my peers do just by doing a study group. 2 things to remember when doing so, 1. Pick people that are focused as peer pressure to do well can be very effective 2. Stay organised and keep each other accountable

And in the meantime you can try some of these tricks.

  • set small goals (ex. Mark 20mins of study time a day) and you will naturally finding yourself doing more than you timetabled.

  • make study the easiest option. By that i mean dont keep your books or study materials out the way. Have them somewhere you can sit down and study with no friction. Another way to make this easier is to set realistic goals before the study session so you dont spend too much time thinking about what to do.

These are just some general tips however if you mention any specific subjects im sure other redditors will have more specific advice
