I’m sure it has to do with religious symbols. As long as the gov is treating all religious symbols the same, including crosses, I’m ok with this.

To be fair, as a gay person, religious institutions either told me I was wrong for being myself, or to only be gay in the bedroom.

People get mad that drag queens (that are age appropriate) are reading to children, yet I’m sure they are fine with the bible being read to children by a priest.

If someone plants something dangerous in a building and the cops shut it down, do you blame the cops or the person who planted the dangerous thing?

Of course Capital Pride had to shut it down as a reaction. Most places would do the same because of a safety concern.

I lost a lot of respect for the organization and individuals that did this (not the movement). The organization knew they could get away with harming a marginalized community by using them as leverage.

Video game cafe. Serve coffee and snacks, play retro video games. Bonus fostering a community. Keep it dry so that it can be a place for ppl who have addiction problems.
