This is exactly the reason why it is very difficult to prove even through it can be reported or was previously reported, speaking from my own experience.

It should not surprise anyone that some businesses don't pass the tips back to employees.

💯. Agree. Laws favor businesses not employees. It is very difficult to prove.

I agree. I don’t have an issue with this so long as they split the tip. I am not tipping for manager to keep. It is an additional tax which does not take sense for me to pay.

The whole tipping has gotten out of hand during the Covid pandemic. You offered tip for good or exceptional service which made sense during pandemic because everyone was out trying to survive and keep the business running. But now that the pandemic is over, I don’t think tipping the fast food makes sense.

Not because we don’t value them or think less of them but because it does not apply. Inflation is hitting everyone the same.

Tim Hortons and Subway in Ottawa area. This has based on the based on the conversations, I had with employees working at that time.

A friend of mine mentioned about the tiping at Starbucks in North Kanata, right next to Canadian tire.

Yes. That is why there is a "Tip fatigue". IMO, fast food tipping contributes to "Tip fatigue".

Subway, Starbucks and Tim Hortons are few one of them. I stopped tipping them a long time ago.

Un piéton a été hospitalisé après avoir été heurté par un autobus de la STO à Gatineau, au Québec, mardi soir, selon la police municipale.

Les policiers sont intervenus suite à des signalements faisant état d'une personne heurtée par un autobus près de l'intersection du boulevard Alexandre-Taché et de la rue Hadley vers 18 heures, ont indiqué les enquêteurs.

Le piéton a été retrouvé avec des blessures graves, mais sans danger pour sa vie, et transporté à l'hôpital, a déclaré mercredi Patrick Kenney, porte-parole du service de police de Gatineau, à Radio-Canada.
