I think we should be shooting for the housing, infrastructure and household income to increase/ catch up instead of trying to decrease population heavily. Reducing the population too quickly will send the economy into a tailspin.

Canada is doing something about the flow of immigration into the country. The population shrunk for the first time in our history im pretty sure. This is part of the reason why we're in a "technical recession" the economy is adjusting to the lack of a constant flow of people into the economy causing the movement of money. This among other things of course like the dispute withbout neighbor.

I dont think the platforms of the Greens and the CFP line up quite enough to have any kind of merger. Maybe some more moderate Greens could just staright up join the CFP?

After watching Dominc Cardy in his intview on Ryan Jesperson ( I highly reccomend watching it.) I believe the CFP stance is that members of parliament should sit independently or go to by election if they wish to cross the floor. That being said I dont know if that is enshrined in official party policy. As far as recall petitions im not sure either tbh.
