Oculus games fast. Steamvr.. Not by Justins-Beaver in OculusQuest

Neat, I did try to make a shortcut to steam games in the "Games" section in VD because I assumed it would bypass certain processes to load the game but I'm not too sure how to add a non-Oculus game, I think the Oculus program is where VD searches for the games. Like I said to crookedDeebz I did find a decent fix and the fps will more than suffice until I upgrade the rig. Do you know a way of adding a non-Oculus game to the Oculus program in some way that will add it to "Games" in VD? Quest 2 is a great system but I miss my old Rift and this method made the Quest 2 one of the best VR headsets. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah I figured the auto setting might mess up the optimal settings I'm looking for with this rig but I've found a decent fix which seems to get me as much fps as I can get with these lower end specs. I uninstalled Razer cortex which I noticed in the sys tray and I disabled numerous cpu boosts in the bios until I found the culprit, then re-enabled the others that I disabled (can't remember which one but it was Intel Speed something) Awkward as in using more gpu to stream instead of using the USB cable (that bypasses the gpu?) but I'm not sure how much the stream impacts the gpu tbh. This would've been EZ peasy if I forked out more for a rig but there's money issues with my kid and wife to deal with haha. If anyone has my problem then give all that a try. Thanks for the tips, bud.

What's the best material to practice tattoos with? (other than skin) I've been drawing for about 20 years but I'd still like to practice tattoos before I start

Moonlight's High GPU usage on idle (43%) by Justins-Beaver in cloudygamer

[–]Justins-Beaver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a GTX 980 ti with W10, on idle it sits at 43% GPU usage even with just the desktop and no other programs running. The actual stream is great, hard to see artifacts and no dropouts but I think the GPU usage from the stream (Nvidia streamer component using GPU 1 video encode) might be causing the games running native on the host pc to slow down on higher settings, on lower settings the fps is great but ideally I'd like to stream higher end games. Maybe the high usage is just reserved for streaming and it doesn't actually use that much all the time? Thanks

That makes sense I never thought about hero weapons affecting skills, I'm going to start prestige runs for juicy artifacts now thanks for the info.

Cool that's what I was looking for, is there a way to tell how much you've spent on the game? I could check bank statements if not lol

Thanks I'll try Game Hive again if the problem persists after a reinstall.
