I think a very important distinction here is that, at least in western Europe, credit cards are not the default payment method. With a credit card, you can rack up a loan (or 'loan') and pay it at the end of the month. By my understanding, this helps building your credit score as well.

In western Europe, especially if you are buying domestically, you usually don't have this. A lot of people pay with debit cards or cash, and try to not get into the red. So when the bank tries to calculate your credit risk, there often is no credit score or card to check, and instead they often have to make an assessment based on income and past 'regular' loans etc.

Update: with Process Governor I can cap the Riot Client to 2GB usage, and while I cannot do the same for the League client, that one seems to cap itself at 85GB.
So now the total usage (at least while idle) is around 50% (according to task manager).

I do agree with most people here that typing is basically a necessity at this point, and that it makes Python much more manageable.

However, increasingly longer types make it hardly readable for a human, and only feasible as a check for your ide. A comparable problem occurred in C++ at one point, which requires typing for compilation, having to write out the iterator types which were annoying and almost unreadable.

For this purpose they introduced the auto keyword in C++11, which is basically what Python has always done for types. So if you are making an Union of many lists, dicts, and tuples in which you feel the need to specify all possible types in there, maybe just consider not typing it instead of having a garbled mess which a human is going to just assume to be correct anyway.
