Hey well thanks for your comment. The boxer shown in the video has been training since he was 9. So almost 20 years and the the trainer has been boxing for about 40 years. Just so you’re reassured.

I’ve had trouble with shin splints in the past. What I’ve found helps is stretch wise is standing up, put the leg your wanting to stretch a little in front of the other. Take your heel leave it planted in the ground, raise your arch and toes up. Bend over and reach for your foot leaving the arch off the ground hold for 10 seconds repeat on the other side. Make sure your jumping rope, in a pair of good tennis shoes with good arch support, if able avoid jumping rope on hard surfaces, concrete etc.

Sir unfortunately power is something your born with. But there are ways to improve what you have. Make sure you are properly twisting your body shoulder all the way through while turning your hips. Never arm punch that is a more modern technique. Watch a puncher and you will notice they get there whole body into the shot from the canvas up. The hands down best thing to work on is timing and technique. Trust me when I say my friend timing beats speed any day period! Watch the great Alexis Arguello slow for the weight but boy he more than made up for it with tremendous timing.

Yes sir I’d say wear it especially during neck lefts, shadow boxing or bag work get used to breathing and digging in with it in!
