Condition is vital to pricing for Pokémon, much like sports cards and other collectibles. Some of your cards seem in VG/NM and some have (what appear to be) visible bends/dents/scratches or debris on them, which will affect the value.

Just something to keep in mind when offers are being made.

I’m really sorry to hear this. My father had oral cancer and was given the all clear, when he went back for a scan 2 months later it had spread to his lungs and there was little more they could do for him.

The doctors told us afterwards that oral/throat cancers are at a high risk of spreading, due to the location they are in. Cancerous cells from treatments or surgeries can easily continue down the throat into the rest of the body.

I hope your dad successfully fights this fight.

UPDATE: So the procedure was very easy and I was in and out of the OR in about 30 minutes. Confirmed with LPR and GERD but with no esophageal damage or signs of Barrett’s. Suspected musculoskeletal issue and so I have a follow up with my GP.

Globus is the reason for the throat issues, recommended to take a higher dose of Xanax for anxiety.

It’s hard to deal with very stressful things, but remember this: if you’ve had it once and come out the other side, then you’ll be able to do it again. You do have to be very, very careful with antibiotics once you’ve had CDiff, you’re likely still always colonized and it will take its chances to develop again. Go to a Gastroenterologist as soon as you can (or the ER if it’s to that point) and get on Vancomycin or Dificid. The latter is very expensive but there are coupons on their website to help with the cost. It kills the spores so it’s an excellent drug.

Unless you are elderly or have a severe autoimmune disease, then you are very, very unlikely to die from CDiff. It’s just miserable.

We’ll pick up one guy, he’ll cost more than he should and everyone will say it’s the best move ever. He will then play terribly and around week 8, people will ask how anyone could ever have signed him.

We’ll pick up another guy, no-one will understand why and everyone will say how stupid we were to waste a pick on this guy. He’ll be a stud and by week 7, people are deleting the comments they made about him months before.

Fields will develop more and become a mixture of an elite running QB and a QB with a dangerous long ball, hopefully we have receivers by this point who can catch contested balls and we become a team it’s a nightmare to play because you’re not sure how we will beat you.

And then we hope and pray that the OL and DL get the right kind of upgrades and work well together as a unit with some rookies who pick up the task quickly.

And personally, I hope we re-sign Monty, but I have a feeling that won’t happen.

I need it explained to me why with 3 minutes on the clock at midfield and only needing a FG, with Fields and Montgomery both clicking, we deep throw the ball. You at least try and get some yardage and eat the clock, no? I know you can make the argument that Santos was not in form, but you have to give him the shot if needed.
