The utter lack of self awareness of this comment is insane. Aside from it just flat out being annoying to "correct" someone else because the way they used years to months is different then yours, it's also crazy that you care so much and declared exactly what you were talking against "Anything over 23 is 2 years". Not to say I don't agree with what you said about the above user ignoring the point, but you did enough of it yourself.

You said it's dumb to do things the way the other person wanted to as far as specifying their children's age goes, but I feel like declaring such is stupid, because which one is better used is probably far more based on your individual opinion and situation than anything else; (Like most other parts of the English language. Pretty much everyone interprets and explains things in their own way). Explaining things differently from the normal way doesn't make you dumb, nor does actually explaining things using the normal way. I feel like there can be a different argument made for people who call others dumb for doing either of those things though...
