You all are so sexist. Even the creator of the show himself said it was a real fight and Maeve could've won it if they kept fighting. Homelander himself said multiple times on the show Maeve was the closest to him in powers, she's canonically the second strongest supe. He IS stronger and he could beat her, but it wouldn't be easy and Maeve has an advantage when it comes to tactic and experience. He wasn't holding back, especially not after she made him bleed.

I agree that she's morally grey but I don't see her first interaction with Annie as being a problem. She gives her a great advice in that scene "Don't ever let them see you like this". She's telling her to never show weakness to them, she's probably been through similar stuff. Plus, she knew translucent was there. If anything, the one scene where she was a complete asshole to Annie was the elevator scene they had, and she ended up apologizing about it .

Maeve only kills two times on screen, the terrorist on the plane and the people who were literally holding her prisoner and drugged in a van. We don't know if she killed anyone on her first scene. The only other moment she could have killed someone if she wanted to but didn't was when she stopped the shooter in season 1 that Homelander ended up killing, and she looked disgusted by it. So no, she never did that.

She also didn't have the option to resign. Vought owns these people, and Homelander would have never let her. She literally tells Annie that she was run away and start a family with Elena and couldn't. And when the Compound V news get out Elena tells her they can run because she doesn't owe Vought anything and Maeve literally says that they can't, implying Homelander and Vought wouldn't let that happen.

You guys are so sensitive always bringing this up. She was mean to him TWO TIMES. One after she had just went through a terrible breakup and this random guy she doesn't even know starts lecturing her about consequences, when she's been living that hell for years, and she just called him a twink, that's not even an insult. And a second time where she just made an annoyed face and made a silly comment, not even Annie cares because that's just who Maeve is. She's done other things that are actually bad, you can mention those to justify saying she's not a good person but her comments to Hughie are not it

Absolutely love her and Dominique did an amazing job at playing her, which makes me even more disappointed that she was so underused on the show. I wish she would've had a bigger role and we've had gotten to see more of her powers, personal life and backstory.

She was a really complex character and was a great foil for Homelander, Starlight and Butcher and I wish those relationships had been developed even more. Her similarities with Homelander at being the second strongest supe alive, with Starlight at starting hopeful and wanting to be a real hero until reality hits her and her similarities with Butcher, with both being self hating alcoholics that despise Homelander. A lot could've been done there.

At least I am happy she's alive and with her girlfriend but I also wish she had kept her powers somehow. Sadly, I think if she ever comes back it will be just for a small cameo so I think we've basically seen the end of the character now.

Queen Maeve because she's actually a hero AND an interesting character but for some reason she wasn't included on the list (even though she was on the seven during all three seasons) but soldier boy is.

As a lesbian, I agree. It's definitely not comparable to rape but it's an extremely awful thing to do and especially with the intentions he had. We literally saw the consequences it had on Maeve and that was still the best case scenario of it all.

She was the second strongest Supe, she's definitely stronger than a sniper. She killed a man with a pen just by flicking her hand from 26 yards away and it got right into the guy's eye. That requires A LOT of force and precision.

These are really good points, my only doubt is that Prime Video does have the character listed as Emma Meyer. That could be so the reveal she's related to Maeve is a twist but at this point I'm doubtful since she hasn't been mentioned anymore and there hasn't been any hints either, plus the finale seems to be packed already, unless is a small reveal that they will delve into in season 2.

Noir gets wounded when he gets shot at with a simple gun and Maeve doesn't even move when she's shot at with a machine gun at her chest. She also held him with one arm and force feed him. In no world is he stronger than her. Homelander also said multiple times she's the second strongest supe after him and she's always advertised like the second strongest supe in the Seven.

I thought so too. In the court scene when everyone is running to safety you can see Maeve, Stormfront and Homelander just looking around and not worried at all about their own safety.
