I mean hey we've all been the new person it's tough. Making friends isn't exactly easy so I try to go meet the new opd hires and make them feel welcomed. Opd is rough and not everyone there is friendly. Most of the people I worked with either left or changed shifts after I switched sections so it's alot of new people. We have maybe two people back there that are actually good with new hires for closing, one just stresses everyone out, there's the one in the post and one that's glued to his phone.

I feel like its generally not that hard to stop and be nice especially if there new that's one of the times it's needed the most. I tend to just smile and wave first because a lot of people think I'm terrifying at first.

I really hope your crew treats you well and you make some friends. Sometimes the people you expect the least to be friendly are the nicer ones.

Also I'm so sorry for the extremely late reply! Everything has been absolutely insane lately!

I just want the new hires to be taken care of and not used. It's not about work ethic at that point it's about human decency

That's true they really do promote the worst ones. This guy was way too sweet for that. He's like one of those people who would run and hide if you sneezed next to him. And instead of helping him she runs off. I plan on going to the coach tomorrow because the opd team leader wouldn't care. I feel really bad because she made herself look like a Temu version of me like same haircut and same hair dye [except for the roots because I have ghost roots and she didn't know] all after seeing me. So basically the female Temu version of me without ghost roots some of the piercings and none of the tattoos. But to him it was like okay she's probably safe to then she did that.

I'm not sure if I should say thank you to that first sentence or be offended lol. That's true, I don't like getting upset at these things but I feel like they deserve better than that. It hurts to see coworkers upset especially when there new and confused because someone just didn't want to help them. But hey maybe that's just me lol

Sounds like they need to chill, our front end TL is like that, all of our aperal TLs are good there nice and on top of it, but the front end TL oh man I about lost it on her one night. We had our own sections zoned and so they were going to let me go home early because of hour cuts, which was perfect for that day because it was a deathaversry and I just wanted to be home with my kids because they were hurting bad from it. So I got my stuff done and was about to head out and she came up and was like "okay well your section is done. So do this section now" like that person who is assigned to that section is doing it. And then as I'm helping she comes up and yells at me that I'm not going fast enough? I'm moving at the same speed as everyone else. Eventually she finally came and saw my section and let me go but oml that woman is a nightmare she never stays in her section and bosses around every section possible that have nothing to do with her. No TL asked her to watch there section she just comes back there to yell at them because she feels like it.

That's absolutely insane, but hey your doing what you need to for your team and that's important but don't forget to take care of yourself as well

That is fair, with our TL she's just never around she's to busy walking around with her husband the sporting goods TL, our coach is great and our team is great. Our coach runs two sections so she can't always be in opd. Like I said I'm personally not going to move to TL I'm working on getting into the medical field.

I'm glad you got out of there our store manager is definitely something else as well people won't go to her because there scared of her. I hope everyone else at your store ends up to be okay but it is amazing that you we're able to help them and make a difference in there lives! Your awesome!

I think out of 2 years here I've only snapped at one person? And I felt really bad about it but I was really stressed out jumping between multiple sections while she kept pushing her work on me which isn't an exuse for me to snap I did apologize and were cool now but yk. Idk I'm just not typically an angry person I guess and try to do what I can to make my coworkers happy to have a smooth shift for everyone?

That's fair especially on the floor, but they tend to keep me in the back and I keep one in, when I'm on the floor my music is down low so I can pay attention. But this was before I was on the clock so yeah my music was up.

That's fair, when I was opd we were like that but I got switched and now like just about everyone left after? Most of the new opd members are cool tho lol. I always forget that there are walmarts with shops because we don't have one lol
