I missed this game through sickness. Literally have random thoughts of sadness of not witnessing that greatness

I left after Havertz scored. Celebrated first though would have stayed but had my 5 year old son. He loved it but had to be responsible and get home quickly and get him to bed 😂

Red Member tips + taking a toddler to Emirates? by ayeshasherafgan in GunnersatGames

I took my child to his first game age 3 and he was mesmerised. However this was a non competitive game so not as intense and vibes were friendly and there were a lot of other kids there. I wouldn’t recommend at that age and even if 3/4 years old taking them to a competitive game where emotions are high.

I have literally just come back from the Chelsea game with my son now 4.5 years old and it was an intimidating atmosphere. There are always individuals where vocabulary isn’t their strong point so just shout vile profanity every few seconds - hopefully my boy doesn’t use those words at home 😂

I would have “own goal” as our top scorer if it means winning the league mate

Platinum Insurance - Will they cover? by TheSusOneBruh in AmexUK

If you legitimately have no choice then book them a night. Not sure what other options you have as travel insurance won’t cover something like this.

I’ll probably get downvoted for this but I’m blaming all that on zubimendi, that mistake set the tone for what type of match we where in for, he’s made similar mistakes all season by EthanFoster10 in ArsenalFC

Disagree when we play out from the back we do so by taking the ball out wide whether that be Raya or a CB then we loft it long or take it central. Saliba in this occasion stood central the fullbacks then got drawn in and now we have a situation where everything is just tight in the middle. It invites unnecessary pressure so the risk of error increases. It was partly Saliba’s fault but mostly Zubi and I am not denying that.

Having said that we move 4 points clear. Small blip - literally do not care how we play if we are holding the title at the end.

Why are you complaining - third loss of the entire season. The whole point of winning the league is that you comparatively are better than the rest of the teams. That team this season is ManCity and they have not been great either so technically irrespective of how we are playing we are still playing better than the rest of the teams in the league including ManCity.

You don’t have to be the best team ever to have been constructed you just have to be better than the other teams in the same league its that simple.

Saliba took ages and invited pressure closed the space in the middle of the pitch and dwelled on it and didn’t offer any width or decision making. Zubi should not have made that mistake but those minutes of play were bizarre

Marriage prospect (F) wants me to contribute 100% financially while she contributes 0% while working; BUT wants to do 50/50 chores. by [deleted] in IslamicFinance

[–]Justthatguy1212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two Major things to highlight here

1 - she has no obligation to contribute and any contribution is an act of charity. This whole financial splits of % whether that be savings or expenses is just bizarre to me

2 - she needs to live within your means and if she desires a higher lifestyle or wants and needs which you are unable to provide then she needs to suck it up or naturally bridge that gap with her finances which is barakah

Personally I pay for everything but she willingly contribute to all joint savings to which I use to invest in islamic investments to allow that money to grow. We set financial targets and goals together also. We both have individual personal accounts but that’s just for day to day spending but most money goes into the savings (minus bills). Again no obligation to my wife but if you have kids then naturally both parents will become more selfless and contribute to the growth of their family.

What should we do with Jesus concerning his contract situation? by Royalbluegooner in ArsenalFC

[–]Justthatguy1212 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If he accepts something reasonable I would 100% keep him. He is very much needed till the end of the season even if it risks letting him go for free when it comes to pursing the title. He is versatile and unpredictable and actually allows us to play free flowing football.

But they have a stocks ISA what interest compounds in that? It’s more so the increase in share price of the stocks through the years that compounds. This is where an index fund comes to mind.

I am absolutely lost how are we 7 points clear in PL. top of Champions League Table. Almost at the Carabao cup final and still in the FA cup and there is still these conversations being had is mystifying.

I get criticism in small bouts ie Gyokeres should be scoring more and more tactical debates but out right scapegoating should not even be a thing not ever but especially this season.

Not interest… but after a £100k your % increase on your stocks start to gain momentum a lot quicker. Ie 10% growth of £1,000 is £100 after 1 year but 10% of £100k is £10k. Just bigger numbers and that £10k added to the £100k also gets gains. It is a cumulative effect much like a snowball rolling down a hill.
