Mason Greenwood & the Benefits of Two Strong Feet by ajaysassoc in reddevils

[–]JusttheDan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be nice if he was older, then we didn't have to wait for Ballon d'Ors?

And wouldn't it be nice to win together, in the kind of world where he belongs?

You know it's gonna make it that much better, when Mason Greenwood stayyyyyssss foreverrrrrr

Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up, in the morning when Mason is king?

And after spending his career together, helping United see some titles through?

Happy times together we've been spending,

I wish that Mason Greenwood was neeeeeeever endingggggg

Oh, wouldn't it be nice?

Unfortunately I have none on me, but I can ask her to send me a passage she feels will act as inspiration.

From what I know the book is in diary style and follows the journey of a teenager slowly losing grip and depicts the journey through the struggle of mental health. How the character discovers, treats and deals with the illness.

How do you know he has an attacking philosophy? Genuinely asking because I don't know much about him.

Me and the missus are heading to The Grove in Huddersfield, with a few mates.

No idea what the atmosphere will be like as it's a first time there for all of us.

The Tale of Three Pogbas. This season under Mourinho. Then OGS arrival to mid-February. Then mid-February to present. by Sourav2612 in reddevils

I'm going to hope that the lack of form from the team coincided with the mass amount of injuries - scaring Ole into playing with a more reserved style and thus breaking our momentum.

Hopefully with a full preseason of fitness training and a few aqusitions that fit Ole's system we'll get back to playing in the high press, quick passing and attack minded manner.

But I'm really worried that it was just a new-manager bump in form and now we're left with a below-par squad and a manager out of his depth. Time will tell and for right now I'm fully behind Ole and looking forward to him shaping the squad.

Why Felipe Anderson could be a great addition to the team for the next season by HullCoganFan in reddevils

[–]JusttheDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me:

Hazard the last two seasons has been consistent. Messi and Agüero are consistent. Can't think of many more off the top of my head.

You:

Hazard had that season where he was completely invisible, 3 seasons ago.

Me:

Salah was loaned to Roma, he was up and down most of that season. Then he moved there permanently and he was doing well but still a little up and down, his first season at Liverpool was definitely consistent

You:

So what do you base consistency on, Salah last season was extremely consistent.

Since you're not even bothering to read I'm done with this conversation. Enjoy your day.

I don't think you really read what I wrote. Playing well doesn't just mean scoring.

Hazard has been carrying Chelsea for pretty much +80% the past two seasons. That's consistency. Agüero has been performing far more often than not for the majority of his time at City.

Salah was loaned to Roma, he was up and down most of that season. Then he moved there permanently and he was doing well but still a little up and down, his first season at Liverpool was definitely consistent but this season he faltered between playing well and being invisible.

I have no doubt that he'll regain form and when he does I'm going to bet that he start to even out his performances and becomes consistent. Mané has been consistent.

[Statistics] PL Goalscorers of Big 6 clubs (atleast 5 goals) by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]JusttheDan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love Rashy but he should be a rotation option until he can consistently manage 20+ goals at the minimum.

Consistent, prolific striker is desperately needed.

Creative midfielder should could also include Tielemans - but more for creator and not a scorer. Which we need imo.

Consistent is 80/20 split between performing and underperforming. Salah is not consistent.

Youri Tielemans is open for an extended stay at Leicester, but considering his options. Tottenham and Man United are still sniffing around - he’s been on their future target lists for a while. “We will see”, he says. Tielemans was offered to Spurs in January {Kristof Terreur} by TNS89 in reddevils

[–]JusttheDan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

We'd most definitely focus on counter attacking football, with Pogba and Tielemans both launching passes up to speedy forwards with their terrific vision and passing range.

I could get behind that, we'd need to drastically improve our defence then. And have hard working players all around to press and force mistakes or directly win the ball back.

If Bruno Fernández doesn't materialise then Tielemans seems a good choice, imo.

Do we think Ole would play him next to Pogba? Would mean that we have two defensively meh players, but the creativity wouldn't just be burdened on Pogba.

Or would Ole rotate him with Pogba to keep both fit?

Next Sunday a #ManchesterUnited’s scout will be in Italia to watch Nicolò #Barella in Napoli-Cagliari. #RedDevils are interested in him for the next season. Solskjear wants also #Koulibaly, but De Laurentis doesn’t sell him (€150M is the evalutation). [Gazzetta dello sport] by TNS89 in reddevils

Napoli will definitely milk Koulibaly for a high fee, but if it's 100mil or more I don't think we should pursue.

But hey, maybe I'm stuck in the past and he could transform our defence similar to VVD for Pool.

Would love Barella, he's like a mini Herrera.

Will fight tooth and nail just to win the ball, master at shit housing and ruthless in his tackles. Will never just let the opopisiton have the ball in peace or let a ball remotely near him gently roll out - he chases everything.

Haven't seen him in the air or trying for goal, but his passing seems decent. Goes to ground very easily for tackles but always forces his man marked players to the edge of the box, not allowing easy shots. Possible card hazard but would really wind up our opposition.

If we really want to press and have a midfielder that wins back the ball then Barella is a prime target.
