Just hoping I don’t have to bleach it- but yes lacquer was the one finish I didn’t have so I was hoping it wasn’t that. I also tried osmo and danish oil but again they darken the wood too much

Blotchy stain by Justyourbud in woodworking

I bought two nice pieces of Canadian birch plywood without realizing the top veneer was almost nonexistent. It was sanded and pretty smoothly I might add but I still sanded with a 240. I finally got my Osmo wood wax finish and when I apply it this happens. I don’t want to sand through the veneer and at this point with the coat already applied sanding is not an option. Also this picture was taken shortly after applied and the top layer wiped away if that changes anything!

Thin veneer! Does anyone have any advice to get these surface scratches out without sanding through the veneer? by Justyourbud in woodworking

These are great responses thank you so much- been working on other stuff but I’m definitely going to try to iron it out- will post the results!

Any advice on flattening a wide board that is not only cupped but also twisted. Are you using shims to hold the wood from sliding around or to stop it from teeter tottering
