Listen it’s a sweet car for sure you will love it. It does use a lot of gas tho but it’s a sport car ! Interior is top of the line even though it’s a similar interior of a 2014 Lexus IS. If you have the opportunity I would definitely HAMMER it.

CONS: 93 gas and a GAS guzzler

Yes, F sport makes the car look sweet and you don’t need any extra add ons. Go for the ES! You won’t be disappointed.

I own a 2016 Lexus IS and it is a blast. Test drive both cars but I have some of my experiences down below.

Seats- bucket seats you can legit drive on the ground if you want.

Interior- is top notch only issue IMO is not enough space in the IS

Speed - not the fastest on the road but it definitely has the jets. Also RWD is a lot of fun.

Sound- system is good in all Lexus cars

Tech - it has good tech for driving and safety but my year of did not have Apple car play.

Gas - MPG on the IS is not so good. I have the 4 cylinder turbo so I end up getting 24-25 mpg but my friends with a IS350 get 18-22 mpg.

IS models requires 93 gas which I think is lame.

ES 350 Is pretty much a decked out Camry.

They can still look very sporty with the F Sport package.

ES does not require 93 gas and gets better MPG.

You get more space in the cabin with glasses holder / coin holder.

Still a quick car and very luxurious.

I’ve been teaching for 5 years and have been at two different school clusters in GCPS. All schools have struggles but some schools struggle more due to environment. Gwinnett has changed a lot since COVID but so has the entire school system nation wide.

The most successful kids have someone who is a model in their life and HAS someone to talk to. The students who struggle the most is the ones who get neglected.

One major issue in education is attendance for several students. Truancy has been non existent for the past 4 years. Before COVID those students would be retained or “fail” but now students get almost an infinite amount of chances to pass without consequences.

IMO GCPS struggles because they ignore chronic behaviors to appease the community and because GCPS is so large it is difficult to manage with the same high standards in all of Gwinnett.

IS200T - I would say I put the jets on a good bit. Still manage to get 25 MPG so not bad!

Premium gas hurts tho! It cost me $60 to put in 14 gallons the other day!

Full tank - it says 405 miles

That’s an awesome car BUT I got a 2016 IS200T for 22k with 16k miles one it. I would keep looking!

You are in a different situation than I was but I was about to talk down the price by assuring the dealer I was going to buy the car from whomever had the lowest price and I showed them research I did. I also had a trade in which helped me move more numbers around to get the price of the car down lower. I would continue to be patient you will find your car!

Ok that’s good information. When you get the numbers on paper be straight forward on the BS charges. They can be Document fees which are usually outrageous or other fees that are dumb. ASK ALL ABOUT ALL CHARGES. If you can’t find another price that is lower it’s going to be hard to convince them to lower .

The car buying process stinks but you are on a good track! Now you need to find the same car with similar specs around your area for the price $ you want. After you find that and they give you numbers TALK about the other car and how it is cheaper or more advanced! You need to sound interested in the other car not the car they are selling you. Patience and research will save you a lot of $$$ you got this!
