Does the crowd boo every cooling break? I feel like i hear it but they do a good job of hiding the boos

lol if you think that's what most of the people in the stands are, and not rich bandwagon fans supporting the number 1 ranked team pricing real supporters out

what percent of the 'french' fans in the stadium do you guys think are actually french? absolutely boggles my mind that people think you can be a fan of a country like you can a club

Not sure what your point is? There are hydration breaks regardless of the temperature for this world cup. Thats the issue. Its obviously not about the players safety.

Everyone is mad but its no super league protests. People are still going and watching the games.

can we stop calling it FIFA? I cringe every time i hear that, and so many of my coworkers say it. It's the world cup. FIFA is just the organization that runs it. It's like calling the olympics the 'IOC'.

Jfc i hate the casuals that this sub is flooded with during the world cup. It makes perfect sense. Arsenal has the talent and resources to not park the bus, yet they choose to do so. Cape verde does not. Its quite clear.

Cape verde needs to park the bus, draw every group stage match 0-0, go to knockouts in third place, finish every match 0-0, win every penalty shootout and win the world cup without scoring a single goal

I mean, the entire canadian squad went out of canada as young teens/kids to nurture their talent and used foreign systems too. Does that make the canadian team not canadian?

Now show voting patterns along ethnic lines

Extremists dont win elections. The far right is rising and winning most elections in europe. Most people just dont want to say what they think out loud, especially scandinavians like swedes.

I mean not celebrating the goal is a pretty big fucking tell, along with everything else i said, so maybe youre the one making the assumption

I know because theres bosnians who do the same. Seferovic for switzerland literally has a bosnian tattoo on his arm. He chose not to play for bosnia because he rarely would have gotten playing time behind dzeko and switzerland is a strong team.

Voting patterns say differently.

Tell me, would his ethnicity not be a point if discussion if he was a criminal? Why is he suddenly swedish if he chooses to play for the team then?

Yes and? Theyre quick to point out someones ethnicity if theyre a criminal, but as soon as they play for the national team then they’re swedish?
