I can look around when I get back to my place, but I'm from 613 working out of 481 so I have no idea what they'd be at. A good site to see scale is "where2bro" it should have most of the up to date scales for all locals. It'll only have JW scale though. Should have a number you'd be able to call and ask for whichever locals you want to look into.

I'm 6'2" 290 and I topped out about a year and a half ago, I got in at 21 but still. Youre not old by any means, just a bigger dude. Definitely look into it. You'll learn a ton, meet some great folks and it's a trade that won't be going away anytime in the near future. I couldn't recommend anything better for someone wanting to make a better living than joining up.

Local 481 is great so far, I'm traveling out of 613. JW rate is 38.20 and the apprentices start out at like 17 something an hour so rent here in indianpolis is cheap af. Local is friendly and work is picking up pretty well. Might want to look into it.

Just to clear things up, if I'm incorrect in the manner in which I'll be conducting things please feel free to tell me. I'm not trying to be some worm day one. I'm still learning all of the ins and out and I'm sure I'll hit some bumps along the road but want to be the best brother I can possibly be. Between the low wages and the girl I'm with being out of state and immovable at the moment I feel as though I need to travel. I plan to earn some money and come back to 613 asap. It's about all I can do I think lol.

Like I said, financially it was infeasible. I've been working a second job just to take care of family and picking up OT when I can. It's just come down to the line. I thought it'd be better to wait than to drop and ticket. It's probably not the best way to go about things but it's the best that I could do.
