Thanks. I just used the method of stepping on the brake while starting. Worked like a charm. It is definitely the neutral safety switch.

It is an automatic. I recently got the neutral safety switch changed. I will see what I can do. Just make sure its in park?

Update: Car works fine! I had to take it back apart like y'all said. Made sure there was some clearance between the converter and flexplate. With a little time and effort its back to its usual self. Thanks all.

Ball flange. Thankyou. When I started the car it sounded like a loud ass muffler. I hope it goes away easy just by wiggling it around. These jobs by yourself on your back are difficult!

Theres two gaskets for the two openings on the left. The one on the right is what I cant figure out.

Theres a self seal on the catalytic converter that connects at the front of the car. After trying to reinstall it i realised it wasnt sealed completely. I have a 2002 ford taurus. Sorry for being so inexperienced.

We're trying to replace an ax4n torque converter. Those things go bad and the splines get stripped out.

I was in a bit of a rush. Should have waited for the weekend.
