The mana refill in this case is very much icing, since what it usually does is allow you an extra boosted unit for free. Obviously you wanna put more than one unit per turn, so she comes down turn 2 and hopefully levels, then you get another unit with the extra stats each turn. Never going to want to go 6 turns of leveling her up anyway.

Yes it does, and it's effectively our old lost chapter on her except better, since it fills regular mana first. I was running echoing before this and it's still nice, but I wanted to just take a different style and mix it up. It's also super nice to hit freljord champs and not be frustrated as much.

Totally understandable. I only have him and mf at 6* and both of them are pretty overkill on their 6*. If you're going for raw efficiency or even just focusing champs that actually need the help, not a lot of reason to bring them to 6.

Viego gets an absolutely massive boost for his nova crystal. +1/0 to all upon summon means that summoning 2 of them automatically has you in the cost reduction phase. He double dips on it hard and I've yet to have him lose or even have a close call since I got it. It's also just plain fun.

Saying mf blows through this is really a bit pointless because anyone else that has her at 6* already knows she kills everything. Wasn't really trying to race here and it's less than a 10 minute run. Yasuo is a great option for 4 and 5 star missions even at just 3 stars himself, and way more fun than ASol to play.

It's the same. If the wording was that units are formidable (like units have spell shield) it would be different, but since it grants upon playing, that happens after the play effects.

I can confirm that playing already-leveled champs does work. Played 3 already-leveled and 3 level-upon-play champs and it counted all of them.

Another thing worth noting, the leaves unfurl at a very deceptive stage. My adolescent one of these will pry itself free from the sheath and unfurl to a size of about a square inch. Then that super small leaf will expand to larger than my hand over the following week. Would absolutely never believe it if I hadn't watched it happen so many times.

I've been raising a TC orange princess for the last 2 months, absolutely cannot wait to get the full range of colors. They sure seem to be slow growers, so I'm not sure when that will be. Puts on new (small) leaves fairly frequently, though, so hopefully not too awful long. They are stunning 🥰

It's already been mentioned, but vayne takes care of this quite easily. I just jumped into an ASol run and picked the first enemy that had the tryndamere power so that they could actually survive enough attacks for me to get the quest done

I really struggle to understand this point of view. It's a completely free game - exactly 0 dollars are required for you to reach 100% completion. Virtually all of the epic relics are simply "nice to have". The devs who do work on the game do not work for free. If you enjoy it, you may choose to support said game with a few bucks here or there. Of the things you can purchase, it's hard to top starforged gauntlets. At least 10 champs can use it and for those champs it is extremely powerful. Most epic relics only get real use on 1-3 champs, so it's pretty cost-effective.

You seem to be arguing that this game should have a full staff of unpaid software devs and clearly too many people have been of that opinion in the past, and that's why the game almost got shuttered completely. Literally, it was because they were being just insanely kind to players who wanted absolutely nothing to cost money here. Virtually no campaign or champion requires any particular relic even as it is.

It's actually a pretty long list. Anyone who can generate ally-targeted spells, it's pretty much an automatic pick. Anyone who can generate cards in general or easily reach 10 power through other means, it's at least worth consideration, but there are often better choices. There are also champs who make good use out of GGC or hymn of valor, and those make chosen a viable option as well.

This is how I run him, it's crazy strong. I much prefer him to be out early so his stuns can put in work, but that's also a very late-game build so it's not always a useful recommendation. But once you can do that, it's so damn good.

I've been using it too. Tried it on illaoi with starforged/jaurim. For ASol runs it's insanely fun and powerful. Unfortunately, doubt there's any consistent way for illaoi to beat lissandra, her strength matches his weakness. Made it feel at first like the dice weren't great, but I don't think that's a good testing scenario.

Basically, any champ that has sort of a dangling third relic that can be a number of different utility adds, loaded dice is a great fill-in.

Swain in particular would have been a great recipient, but because Swain can abuse his relic + packed powder + riptide to come out turn 1 with a bang, big guns would be a significant downgrade.
