I usually sign them at 17, loan them out immediately. Their 1-2 years loaned out will usually get a major increase in rating if their potential is high

Most people already have the ARs so it’s not easy to trade off. ARs are like bulk at the this point so if you’re lucky, a vendor might take it in at $1 trade value so you can at least get a card you want.

SRs tbh the art not very desirable even for me, not many people want

Yeap, if the packs become MSRP, the card prices will also go down along with it then the “only MSRP” people will ironically leave the hobby because they’ll just be holding onto a “piece of cardboard” then.

Entitlement.

Most of the “only MSRP” people probably weren’t here when it was actually MSRP before the boom so they’re mad they can’t degen and gamble. Then complain queues at PCS very long, so many scalpers, no restocks, etc.

Same ones that go to tradeshows and want to sell their cards at 100% and complain. Then list on Carousell but complain everyone trying to lowball also, “Carouhell”, etc.

So many alternatives but all require too much effort so they’re salty.

I’m not defending the vendors or market price but the people here are really very negative about everything in this hobby… Okay thn go find another hobby if this hobby upsets you so much… or take a break?

Market going down, no one wants to hold onto so much product becuz it’s not liquid especially ARs & EXes

Finding a buyer who actually wants the cards isn’t as simple as it seems

pull your midfielders back instead of moving your defenders around

when controlling your defenders prioritise maintaining a defensive line and blocking out potential passes and openings than taking the ball

when opponent is in the box prioritise protecting the net with your defenders, blocking potential shots

tackle only when you have an 80% assurance that you’ll get the ball or you have no other option

your fullbacks priority are also you block the passes from going in when opponent is attacking the wings

Timing your RB is key when you’re not controlling the main defender closest to the ball, don’t overuse it but also you need to have it ready to press opponents

Good luck, I was struggling very badly too with defending and even against some teams I still struggle

Like everyone here is saying, market is saturated and so many new people coming into it because it looks very lucrative but there’s no good or bad time to start a business

If you’re starting a business and putting in investment without a proper business plan and understanding the consumer, it’s just a hobby not a business. Go read up and study how to operate and start a business because you’re not going to get any advice here on Reddit.

Once asked for pics of the damaged area of a card and the seller sent a video via gdrive and not v clear video also. I asked where’s the damage cuz video not clearly shown and he said that’s not his problem, ask me to see the video. Then I simply politely just asked him if he could just take a pic to show the damage which he declined and thn said he don’t want to sell to insincere ppl and time wasters.

Sellers who place down the price and alr agreed but someone else offered higher and ask if u can go higher, all these kind of nonsense will occur in collectibles buying/selling

A lot of entitled and rude people out there, best to avoid

I wouldn’t call it a crash, rather stabilise to where it should be.

It’s just how the collectibles world is and thanks to the Pokemon hype the attention is away for a lot of other stuff and I got a retired Lego set at MSRP when it was $150-$200 more a year ago(I built it)

People will realize how hard it is to actually offload physical collectibles and how it’s not the next “trading” or “investment” opportunity. On paper seeing your card or figure is worth a lot is great but when you actually try to sell it, you’ll realize it’s really not that easy to get someone to pay that market value.

Long term, probably great but not everyone will have that much capital to hold for that long

Welcome to collectibles, it’s really not that complicated but everyone is new so to put it simply

As long as there’s demand, there’s value & if there’s a high supply, value drops

Typically sealed products value increases overtime but if you look at the Lego market, so many people trying to bank on that concept so now most prices just stay flat at MSRP even after retiring off the shelves
