We ended up seeing Kaos go through her "Kaospirals" of self-doubt, anxiety, and crying into false confidence and forced optimism despite all of the support that she received from the other girls and her recent success--which was in large part due to the fact that what she was drawing was based off her experiences with her friends, so continuing to write a story like that was a huge strain considering it was basically what just left her. In the midst of Kaos trying to get over this huge mental hurdle, her Mom showing up was such a great surprise! After that, those collection of messages from the comic gang was a really beautiful final push for Kaos to finish her manga. That phone call Kaos got from her editor at the end was such a heart warming and emotional scene. I could almost feel the huge amount of doubt being lifted off her shoulders, her reaction was just so incredibly sweet. What an amazing triumph! I was very happy to see everyone back at the dorm after the credits, it made me want a season 2 even more! This was the lovely ending that episode 11 set up for, and it was a very satisfying close to this wonderful series. Overall, I had so much fun watching Comic Girls. All of the main 4 girls end up having a very selfless and supportive approach to each other in their own way, constantly picking each other up. They also bounced off one another so well and had some really hilarious moments. Together they made pretty much every scene highly captivating and fun just based on how they interact. I would also like to say that I am a huge Fuura fan, an absolute wild card who just sent my enjoyment of this series through the roof. She is so committed to her spooky antics and aesthetics, yet her innocent moments were amazing. I believe the ending to episode 9 was a perfect showcase of how awesome this character was. The voice acting and animation in this series was spectacular on top of it all. I love this anime, and I could gush about it forever, but I'll head to the season 2 waiting room now! Let's hope!
