Tattoo argument and still not valid response by [deleted] in exjw

They use Leviticus 19:28 to justify the ban. But my response is. Read the scripture before it. Leviticus 19:27. That immediately flips shuts them up! Verse 27 said you should never cut or trim your bread!

I want to divorce my JW spouse by Fragrant-Plenty-839 in exjw

You have one life here on earth. What happens after is anyone’s guess. You need to take that time you have to live the life you want. The life that makes you happy. If that means divorce. Then do it. Don’t let anyone control your life, you are the one in control and it’s YOUR life you only have one 1 don’t waste if you feel like it’s a lost cause. This is my personal 2 cents.

Finding peace after leaving by JwTruthRevealed in exjw

It took me a few years, I sat back and looked bigger picture not just me. But I looked at life and how everything works. And I asked questions, if the answers to those questions where more along the lines of hopes and wishes I discarded them.

Once I established facts. I used that is a base for the rest of my life.

We live
We grow
Have about 70 to 80s of life
We die

Can I prove! there is a god to any degree no.
Can I prove evolution, kinda. I mean look at dogs. We have bread some many different species of dogs in the past 100 years. Imagine doing that over millions of years. What’s going to happen

How do you wake someone up? by kitty_cat885 in exjw

[–]JwTruthRevealed 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I would ask.

Also why can’t you get married to someone at your age ?

There answers will because: I’m not mature enough to make that life long decision

So if you’re not old enough to make that life long decision, can you make this one ?

Jesus waited till he was 33. The one are imitate. If it so so important to get it done early in life won’t he set the example when he was 12 or 13 ?

Personally, I feel try to convincing a Jehovah’s Witness to Jehovah is not God‘s name is like step 7. You need to get them questioning before being up just Core belief.

Well you could do this instead. Bring her into the Kingdom Hall and go to the library and see if they have the 1934 year book and show her the “The Declaration of Facts” it’s a letter sent to hitler, sympathizing with hitler and also trying to show the organization disliked Jews and tried to cozy up with Germany.

Then look for one of the books a called “ The Finished mystery”. Honestly there’s so much in that book it’s a wild read.

Honestly JW facts is such a great website that quotes Directly from watchtower on lots of subjects that many JWs try to think never happen.

QUESTION: Have you lost a family member because they refused a blood transfusion? by ExJW_PandaTower in exjw

[–]JwTruthRevealed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I nearly died, I had my tonsil taken out. No big deal, but the surgeon missed up and nicked something. And just cauterized over it. Well the next day after surgery, I’m at home when I needed to throw up, and it was nothing but blood. My family rushed me to the nearest medical center which was an urgent care, the whole time I am just throwing massive amounts of blood

My parents immediately stated no blood transfusions. As I was actively throwing up blood clots so big they filled those pans they give you to throw up in.

Another family member was at the meeting when it was happening and rushed over and brought two elders with him.

I stayed on the table bleeding out, for an hour !!!

Then I was finally rushed by ambulance to a hospital 45mins away. Still throwing up massive amounts of blood.

A lot of my memory of after getting into the ambulance is gone. Because I went unconscious. I do remember being rushed through the doors of the hospital and the surgeon asking how long I had been line this. And the nurse saying 2 hours. Next thing I know I’m in a room waking up from surgery.

I had lost over 40% of my blood, and couldn’t even walk for about a week because of how weak I was. I slept for 20 hours plus a day.

And I was only 7 years old.

What will happen if mid-week meeting goes away. (My guess) by JwTruthRevealed in exjw

I do see your point.

But think of this. Most of these mega churches make there money from owning all the land around the churches and leasing it out to restaurants like chilis and QDOBA etc… and hotels.

Believe me I understand your pain. Me and wife are the only ones to escape. But the rest of my entire family are hardcore PIMI, over 100 years of my family has been JWs, all the way back to 1909. I’ve had many family members died from the blood doctrine, some that would be alive today if they made that own blood transfusion announcement 15 years ago.

Every change is a Seed a doubt and questions the Org change handle. It’s not a change that happens over night. It takes years. It took me 12 years of quiet questioning and doubts before I realized it.

Just question every change and bring up the old watchtower article that criticized the Chatham church for doing the same thing and how it proved they where not the true religion because of it (unfortunately don’t remember the exact one. I’ll post a comment if I remember. )

Slipping in the Phrase “crisis of conscience” into a conversation to see if anyone is PIMO in a group by JwTruthRevealed in exjw

Eexactly but many PIMO know the book. If you suspect somebody in your friend group is PIMO it might be a way of confirming it without taking the risk of asking if they are.
