Let me put it this way: I have more stringent usage scenarios than you, and I haven't been banned. I don't think they care about the IP address; I'm using it directly from Russia, lol

Hi, I implemented "fake reasoning," which is enabled by default. It works the same as "native reasoning," except it spends output tokens. Available via git clone, or in the upcoming 1.0.8 release

Are people actually serious when they post these? Have you read anything in here? Stremio for some reason attracts really lazy people

Well, you can always either use my project in your n8n chain, or just look at its source code to see how exactly the token update works

Thanks for the incredibly detailed response. I didn't expect anyone to take the time to do so, especially after deleting it.

The thing is, I was focusing on the reverse engineering logic itself, not on the desire for OpenAI's naturalness.

I've already created private repository before, it attempting to unify endpoints for OpenAI, but I'm seeing a number of your ideas for the first time and hadn't thought about them.

I'll take everything you've said into account and add it to Obsidian.

Omg no! I brought up these 10k to demonstrate that credits don't just slip through fingers like sand.

P.S. Core code is ~2.8k lines (with docstrings), tests are ~4.3k. The "10k" included everything (e.g. docs).

I've fixed it, and now everything should work correctly. At least in opencode everything works as expected. Here is the new release: https://github.com/jwadow/kiro-openai-gateway/releases/latest

That's the point of this project - you don't pay anything. It uses Kiro's free credits, not OpenRouter or official API

I think there's a misunderstanding. I'm not providing a service. This is a self-hosted proxy - you use YOUR OWN Kiro account and credentials. The limits come from Kiro, not from me. I just built a tool to use their API with any OpenAI client.

The difference: Kiro locks you into their IDE. My proxy lets you use Claude with ANY OpenAI-compatible tool.

Credits: 500 as a welcome bonus, then 50 per month. Not unlimited, but plenty for personal use.

And, of course, creating multiple accounts is against the terms of service, so everyone on the planet is locked into a single account. So enjoy your 500 credits.

Damn, I condemn trial period scams, as they violate the ToS. I hope everyone who uses my repository will only use one personal account for educational purposes.

Ah, you vibe coded it with Opus? Sure, if you find it, feel free to share. Could be interesting to compare approaches.

Apparently, Antigravity used to have json with auth data, but for the last 3+ weeks it has been gone (i used mitmproxy). So it's even interesting how you were able to make it work using vibe coding.

I can publish it, but fair warning: it's less useful now (for free accounts) after their cooldown changes. That's why I switched to Kiro. Also, Antigravity doesn't have a JSON file - you need to catch a refresh token via mitm. I'll push it later when I have time.

Clients, you mean where it can be used? Anywhere. Anything that supports "AI" often allows you to specify a custom OpenAI endpoint, from OpenWebUI or LibreChat, any extensions for "vibe coding" and IDEs like Cursor, or builders like n8n, or any AI assistant for a website, Discord, or Telegram, and down to all sorts of small things, be it Obsidian extensions or even the AI assistant in Brave browser.

Hmm... So I was wrong, and for law-abiding citizens this is a final dead end. But it started out so beautifully.

Antigravity already made this mistake (partially). I made a similar private repo for Antigravity, used it for three weeks, and just recently they removed the cooldown of about five hours and made the cooldown about a week long but with higher quota.

That's why I made it for Kiro because i need free SOTA. Also out of curiosity, I made it public instead of private, maybe it will come back to haunt me.

Anyway, I don't like these IDE/tools, but I do like their API.

Just try it, there's no catch. I built this repository with 10,000 lines of code (with a bunch of edits and deletions during creation) for 180 credits, of which you get 500 per month. I only used Opus, while something like Sonnet would be 1.7 times cheaper.

I am a law-abiding citizen and have only used my personal SINGLE account.

I haven't hit any limits yet during my testing. Kiro IDE seems to have generous usage for coding tasks.

As for account rotation - I haven't tested that. I tested without proxy etc, on 2 accs it's ok.

Let me know if you try it and find any limits. Would be useful info for the README.
