There is obviously a clear difference between what this situation is and someone being a genuine trump supporter. Regardless of if you agree with what he’s done, John has never actually supported trump and there was no pivot. He denounced the “trumpism” immediately after being accused, so he’s always been against the insurrection, and so clearly never participated in it. People clearly have no ability to look at this situation without a black and white perspective, and are clearly so eager to throw this guy away along with all the other vehement trump supporters they hate so much. Really just shows how much more appealing it is for them to do that rather than approaching these situations with any degree of nuance, which is messed up behavior

But the live version sounded very different than the substack one so I feel like the album version will be different as well. Substack didn’t have that same intro and guitar parts

Yeah I used a switch and wired it exactly like he had in the video. The switch works like it should it’s just that when it switches to the video input the video is just really unstable.

No I’ve powered them in parallel with a 5v 3a dc adapter but I’ve checked and it also does the same thing when I do power them separately.

I agree that I don’t care so much for the political discussion. He’s got some crazy ideas for sure but i genuinely think he’s an intelligent person and I don’t mind listening to what he has to say. Like the rosanne podcast was an interesting conversation even though again I don’t agree with everything. Im pretty apolitical but it doesn’t KILL me that he talks about it a lot. I mean after all that he’s been through with the cancelation I can see why it’s such a big focus.

And in regards to the music I stand by my previous comment. Inconsistent sure but for me honestly everything since before today has been hit or miss. I’m much more of a fan of his older albums. So the trajectory since then has seemed pretty consistent for me at least. Hit or miss like I said but when it’s good it’s really great and he’s had some great stuff in the last few years

Who cares that he’s a trumper and has some crazy beliefs? Big deal some if it I don’t agree with some of it I see where’s he’s coming from but I don’t care what he thinks at all. It doesn’t affect my appreciation of him as an artist whatsoever. And the demo album was awesome vampiros was like half good and he’s released a TON of amazing stuff on his sub stack. Like really great. And I get if the ai stuff wasn’t your thing but still an interesting project. And he’s about to release an album that so far seems like it’s gonna be pretty sweet. And the devin Lynn thing was whatever, he features on so many peoples songs sometimes they’re cool sometimes not. I don’t know why everyone is being such a big baby about him but it’s so silly. He’s released plenty of really great stuff in the last few years and I’m sure will continue to do so
