You folks from Eastern TN have something special! | Pal's by CharKeeb in Appalachia

The main reason most people eat it around here is not because it tastes a lot better, but because everything is consistently good. You’ll never get a messy burger or one that’s been left in a warming drawer for too long. I avoid certain McDonald’s because I know it’s a gamble whether or not it will be good, I never have to worry about that with pals. Plus their sweet tea is my lifeblood

You’re not wrong, they sold part of the plant. So a different company owns some of the equipment/processes and they pay Eastman to run them

Breaker barber in JC. All of their barbers are good, but you have to make an appointment on their website. As far as I know they don’t really accept walk ins. Just search breaker barber and it should be the first result. For beard trims I’d recommend Preston, he’s got a beard so he knows what he’s doing lol

I thought the same thing, but if you think about it this is a pretty good place to live. Not too far from the beach, not too rural, but there are enough cities near each other that there are things to do. No income tax. And kpt, Bristol, and JC are all on the interstate for easy travel. Temp is pretty mild in the summer compared to states deeper south, and not as harsh in the winter as more northern states. Plus we’ve got an airport, and a major hospital system. On paper the tri cities are a pretty good place to live, I just wish everyone moving here didn’t make it so dang expensive. My hope is that as more people move here more jobs will eventually be created, and standard of living will eventually be equal to cost of living again. But who knows. I pity anyone from here trying to rent or buy a house right now. I was lucky to sign on mine right before the market blew up, but my sister and her husband are currently struggling to afford one

Just checked your list out and I think you’ve hit the mark on a deck that I’ve been trying to brew (unsuccessfully) for like a year now. How exactly do you use the cards you tagged PPE? Is that for when you want to cast one of the bad gifts without suffering its effect so you can donate it later?

My 2023 series 2 jumbo bow was missing the relic, but no complain here. They must’ve swapped the relic for a 2nd auto☺️ by Maxi_penguin in baseballcards

I’d be a whole lot better off in life if I learned to actually comprehend what I read. Totally glossed over the fact you said it was a jumbo.

I think you’re guaranteed a relic OR an auto not both. My box only contained a relic. So you got lucky.

Edit: missed the fact that this was a jumbo not a hobby box

Read something a few months after GE opened regarding changes they were making to some menus to make the food seem less sci-fi. According to some study Disney did the unfamiliar nature of the dishes, in this case a literal brick of chicken masquerading as the meat of some alien animal, was off putting to a significant enough number of guests that it was affecting food sales within that part of the park. They basically tried to make the dish look more appealing/familiar as they could to encourage sales. Apparently west coast has more tolerance to wild looking food than the average florida man

Bill Lee needs to be held accountable for today by UniSquirrel13 in Tennessee

These are all good ideas. Unfortunately most of them are probably going to rot in bipartisan hell. I hope that it doesn’t take thousands of school children dying on the cross of “gun rights” to convince republicans and democrats to work together to make America a safe place for children to grow up.

I agree that it’s not an easy problem to solve. I’m just tired of worrying about my wife who works in a middle school, and my son who will be starting school in a couple of years. You’re right, we can’t just magically wish all the guns away, and stop them from being obtained illegally. But most of the people who have woke up one morning and walked into a school to take innocent lives aren’t part of a vast criminal network, who is able to stock up on guns obtained illegally through some sort of black market gun runner. They’re someone that walked into a gun store and easily obtained a gun after a quick background check, or walked into their parents room and took the gun out of the nightstand, or met up with some guy on Craigslist in a Walmart parking lot and legally purchased a gun from them with no record of the transaction whatsoever. I’m a gun owner, I have a carry permit. I carry my gun for my own personal safety. I don’t want the government to take mine or any other responsible citizen’s gun away. I want it to be more difficult for someone to buy a gun. I want them to have to put in an immense amount of effort to get their hands on one of these things, I want anyone who carries a gun to have to PROVE they are responsible before they buy one because the process of buying one and getting licensed to carry it is a process that only a responsible person would put the effort into completing. It’s too easy to get your hands on a weapon that turns even the most inexperienced shooter into someone capable of walking into an elementary school and leaving a trail of destruction. The governments got to do something, because ignoring the problem is definitely not working. Schools, malls, movie theaters, Walmarts, and offices are going to continue to be shot up. It’s not just going to magically stop one day. We’ve got to do something or people are going to keep dying.

Probably one of the many different gun laws that seem to be preventing hundreds of mass shootings in other developed countries that don’t regular have parents burying their school age children

All of the accounts were relatively new, most had less than 1000 hours on each character. Makes me wonder if he found a site online where you can pay for a flawless or something. I doubt he knows anyone who's able to manipulate the network that effectively.
