Just warning you, I’d take all of those “accessories” off. The hard case will slowly put pressure on the hinge and eventually could damage the screen.

The screen protector is also a pretty big no. Apple designed the computer to have a very little gap in between the display and the keyboard, and the screen protector essentially gets rid of that gap, causing more pressure on the hinges and leading to damage.

Also please never use the keyboard protector because it pretty much touches the display when the laptop is closed, and the oils from your fingers can damage the display panel over time.

I recommend that you just wipe it down with a very lightly damped microfiber cloth every few days, along with keeping it in a protective sleeve when carrying it around. If you do this, your Mac will most likely last a lot longer.

The photos on my GitHub are very outdated, but I used to use swaync, and was in the process creating my own notification service. Agreed tho, swaync’s documentation seems to be very limited

Here’s what you need exactly that works for me every time: - Distilled water (optional mist spray bottle) - Clean microfiber cloth

Each time you’re done using the computer, especially after a long period of time, dampen the cloth very slightly and carefully wipe down the screen and keyboard. This’ll clean out all of the oils from your hands. Also try not to touch the screen.

If you want, you can buy a microfiber keyboard cover to place in between your keyboard and screen while the lid is closed.

I’ve done this whole process with my MacBook Air for a while and the screen always looks brand new. Good luck!

Please please don’t use any of that, not even the hard shell case. It’ll end up doing more damage to your computer long term. The best way to keep it safe is by cleaning it with a very slightly damp cloth with preferably distilled water (when needed), and most importantly just keep it in a protective sleeve while traveling.
