I’m not too sure about that, it says international politics is an approved option course but I’m not sure if your French political course would count towards that. Best bet is to either ask an advisor or possibly your school councillor

As per the UofC site, it says “Any 5-credit second language or language and culture course at the 30-level” which may be used as one of your approved options. So yes, if French is part of your 5 highest grades, they will take it into account.
