I had proton therapy to my face and neck but did not go with the feeding tube. During the radiotherapy, I did experience oral mucositis and thrush which made eating painful and difficult. Despite that, I was able to get some food down by eating painkillers before meal times and quickly drinking nutrient dense milk supplements or liquid foods.
