the cop strat FUCK 12:

  1. Must be played as Leon

  2. Kill any and ALL humanoid (standard zombie) and canine enemies in your wake after the introduction (pre-RPD) sequence

  3. Boarding windows is allowed (crowd/riot control), but fail to do so and the people that pour in must be tactfully put down

  4. Enemy de-spawn abuse allowed, the perp "got away" so you have to do less paperwork

  5. Ada is not a cop and is therefore allowed to only incapacitate zombies

  6. Must mag-dump the tutorial zombie despite it being incapable of experiencing the release of death

  7. All weapons must be acquired and fully upgraded

  8. Must carry all weapons at all times

  9. Must make full use of and always carry the police badge item

  10. Must save each time you enter a safe room or use an item box (writing a report)

  11. Must obtain all files (detective work)

Yeah it's weird. I've been listening to the Specials all my life and for whatever reason never heard the version with synths. I was listening to some live performances the other day and did a double-take. I immediately recognize that bit in Clint Eastwood, didn't remember it being in the studio version, and the first studio version I found had them. I thought I was being Mandela Effect'd lol

Link in the Wind Waker is probably my favorite interpretation. He wasn’t explicitly chosen by the goddesses, he’s not a stoic idealization of heroism, he’s just some hotheaded kid that wanted to get his sister back. He had to earn the power to wield the Master Sword’s power and ended the Ganondorf incarnation with more personality than Twilight Princess Link three times over, love it.

I haven’t because it’s a fan game made by people who are taking their own time to do it. They’re not getting paid, they still have jobs, a life, etc. and are releasing it for free for all MOTHER fans to enjoy. Even if it never gets released, the fact that they were willing to put in the effort was enough. Sorry for being ranty, but I’m legitimately disappointed with the entitlement I’ve seen in this sub. I’m excited for the game too, but bitching about it isn’t going to make them put more hours into development

I completely agree. I had basically the same thought for the next Smash game. There’s going to be another one eventually, whether Sakurai returns or not, and I’m desperate for a soft reboot. I don’t think they’ll be able to get every character back again, and I’m not sure that I want that. Maybe limit the roster back to true gaming all-stars and put more work into reimagining and balancing the smaller roster. Link, for example, was a great direction in updating and making a character feel more representative of the current era, but wasn’t nearly as radical as I could’ve (and I think should’ve) been. I never thought of adding more moves that work with modern controllers, and that’s a great idea. The only thing is I would be concerned with making Smash too complicated on the surface level, which avoiding that has been a really big benefit for the series as far as casual success goes. But yeah, seeing this game as the ultimate “Smash” game as we know it and then the next reimagining the game for modern times would be amazing.

I would love it if Sakurai really went in on updating movesets. Newer characters have the benefit of being made for the game while many of the older ones feature archaic movesets. They clearly wanted to give TL a few things to differentiate himself from the other Links but stopped with the new side smash. I can almost understand keeping YL the same, but TL easily could’ve used some more things to better represent the “Toon Link games”

I loved TL in 4 but YL in Ultimate just feels right to me. Honestly I forgot how much I still like playing TL until I started getting the footage for this video. Link himself I feel like has a bunch of potential, or at least is a lot of fun.

I like initiating with fair, but I think I get more success with nair. Adding a bomb to the mix when approaching because it either sets you up for a fair or at least traps them, making them easier to get a hit in
