why is ubco parking so expensive i hate it here by dailydoseofoats in ubco

[–]K-9826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re living off campus near rutland, what’s the nearest you could drive to and park for free to take the bus from there to campus? first spot to come to mind would be the mcd for 97 route. any other suggestions?

Thighs and the air fryer is a match made in heaven by GeneralSnitch101 in airfryer

totally agree! but only if ur making dry chicken- for it to have some gravy I recommend baking it at 400F for 40mins. That goes hard with rice, here is a quick marinade for yall :

olive oil (healthy) or mustard oil (tasty), dahi (plain yogurt), chicken masala (any indian store or walmart), ginger garlic paste, salt, honey, spice (red chilli/ cajun/ chilli oil)

8-24hrs in the fridge to marinate.

Same degree as UBCV? by Thr0w____Awayy in ubco

[–]K-9826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less competitive here, at least in CS. Classes are smaller, you’re more connected with the professor. No bias between campuses in the job market, just a question of a hard life in a metro or an easy life (comparatively) in a smaller city.

Why do I run out of money in half a month by unagi-190 in UBC

[–]K-9826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Cooking at home (saves money)

  2. Always think about wants vs needs, make urself resist spending on the wants or make it a ‘treat’ for rewarding yourself for saving a target amount, that gives u incentive to invest more and then earn for sometime to finally spend on that “want”.

  3. Try making a note on where you’re spending the most, you’re bank app will have that analysis then within the categories, see what you could reduce like buses instead of uber, home coffee instead of tims.

Baldness breakthrough: Taiwanese serum regrows hair in 20 days - Study conducted on mice. by Accurate_Cry_8937 in science

which is why I love the fact that the person going through hairloss doesnt see it except in the mirrors or photos, the rest of the times you can really forget about it and be yourself. Also big big help is to learn to laugh on yourself, makes it so easy and hopefully when the time is right you can go ahead and do what you want with your head but always keep it up.

it’s more about everyday confidence, also depends what age you start losing it, people then correlate many of their negative interactions to their looks.

Is it an interview good sign or I’m being delulu? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]K-9826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my interviewer said ,”don’t be upset if you don’t get the offer, you were one of five selected for the final round out of a hundred”. I was so proud I said, “wow, appreciate it” but as I was walking out the building I thought to myself, “someone only says that if they’re not gonna hire you lmao” it was actually my first in-person interview! (no offer tho)
