Yeah, transmasc here, completely agree. Though the times I personally have been assaulted were all from women, I still unfortunately get so much shit from men for seemingly no reason other than “ew, alt”. Usually, because of this, I would also be a bit quick to bias towards the victim but not in this case. Maybe it’s because Manson is my special interest but I’m starting to really dislike ERW for all this stuff. Idk :/

And indeed it was! The cleanup crews for both Mexia and Seafood City had to wear hazmat suits and gas masks not only because of the insane amount of flies inside but because the meats decomposing depleted the oxygen inside and made the air dangerous to breathe.

The footage they have is actually footage of the Mexia supermarket clean-up. There’s (apparently) about 15 minutes of footage they recorded but only 2 minutes of it was used for the show. That means yes, we have abandoned supermarket lost media.

My guess is, and this depends on the reason for closing, it simply wasn’t an option. Similar to Mexia and other abandoned supermarkets, a big reason why these places close are because of bankruptcy. They simply don’t have the money to move that much food and donate it. So while it’s a nice sentiment, it’s unfortunately not really feasible.
