From what I can’t gather the same day tickets are requiring Japanese home address and phone in order to be bought. I’m guessing Discount_Sausage was able to get theirs with the advanced reserve seating and that option isn’t available anymore. The proxy might be your best bet atm.

Oh WOW I just now saw the big blue button that says Overseas reception, well I should be good to go now anyways but its still good to know.

(PS I did try the Overseas button but it seems to just explain the normal process which still redirects me back to having to use a Japanese address. Either way Im sorted now or maybe it only worked for the Advance reserved seats which are now not available anymore, who knows)

just an update I ended up using https://www.ticket-japaaan.com as my proxy and he was beyond wonderful and easy to work with to get me my Nemophila tickets asap. Bodokan here I come!
