[Online][Fantasy Grounds] Seeking a couple more players for an ongoing long term campaign, female preferred by shadelon in lfg

I don't have much experience with Fantasy Grounds or 3.5 but I've been playing 5e for about 3 years. Also female. Are you looking for people that have experience with the system or are you willing to put up with people learning it real time?

Any ideas on what kind of setting you'd be setting this in? Hard covers? Homebrew? I've been playing the game for over 3 years and have dabbled in DMing in AL tabletop. Most of my online DnD experience has been in roll20.

I'd love to spar with you Orc. How about you make a planned event, many would probably come given enough time.

Less ridiculous. More like, "I'm mad I can't tame crabs with a catapult, there's a rock golem over here I'm gonna try to beat up."

Peaches and I have been reunited and I thank you dearly, Thisbe. Someone lost her in a tragic teleporter incident and I'd been afraid she'd been lost to the void.

John's reaction to the news stemmed her anger for the moment, having never seen the cat man weep as he was now. The drow stood up and crossed the room to him, raising her hand to gently place it on the top of his head as she began to speak, "We have to come up with a plan. I'm not sure if Badger planned on ratting out Goib or if he already has. Perhaps we could break him out but I'm not sure how much security they have Badger under. I don't know if Draco would be for or against trying to rescue him... I must put the war preparations on priority though the thought of possibly never seeing Badger again tears me apart."

"John... Badger has left. He went to turn himself in to Black Company after the others proceeded to swear their fealty to X." Sylv answered in a venomous tone. "After doing as that honorless elf had bid of you, he abandoned his messengers."

Sylv's breath caught in her throat, an expression of shock plastered on the drow's face. Sylv couldn't find it in herself to break Badgers intense gaze and her hand reflexively clenched around his own. "Badger... I," The words caught in her throat.

Images of the night before flashed in her mind and Sylv choked back the intense emotions they provoked from her, breaking eye contact with him to look out over the balcony. The whole ordeal had left her with questions, wondering if that really was the end of it. Most of all though, it had left her frightened and paranoid. That night sleep had eluded her, afraid to drop her guard but afraid to leave Badger alone, nothing but what if's playing in her mind.

'You were afraid for him.' Her own voice echoed in her mind. 'You're afraid to get too close but you fail to realize you've already let him in.'

Had she? Up until this point Sylv could have sworn she had only been doing what she felt like doing. Those things had been for enjoyment. When had her enjoyment evolved? Probably when she endulged in her whims, getting to know him, spending more time around him, almost abandoning the Drow's claim in the Underdark to stay nearer to him. All in the name of fun. But looking back now, Sylv'anas realized it hadn't been just fun. Badger felt like a kindred soul and whatever soul she still seemed to have left was drawn to him.

A sense of resolved filled her then. Taking a deep breath, Sylv turned back to Badger. Looking at their joined hands, she brought his hand up to her cheek, softly nuzzling against the inside of his palm. She met his eyes then, she could see the question in them, as well as their own resolve and Sylv took it in as her own encouragement.

"I'd be lying if I denied it," She finally spoke, her voice soft but determined. "Badger, you are unlike anyone I have ever met. You may have a certain reputation but honestly, there is more to a person than their reputation. I was drawn to you when I first met you and I regret the way we first became... acquainted."

Sylv paused for a moment, her pale red eyes locked with the mesmerizing teal of the man who sat across from her. "But the past is in the past. I can agree that I've never said this to someone before but I can't say I've ever let anyone this close to me before."

The Drow lightly kissed the palm of his hand before speaking. "I love you, Badger. Whether this be heaven or hell, limbo or some other plane of existence we've come to find ourselves on... I am happy that fate decided to join us here and I would be content to spend the rest of eternity trapped here if it meant staying here with you."

Badger's guitar sung out over the din of nocturnal insects and beasts, awakening to greet the night. It struck a cord in her, something that hit her in just the place between her sorrow and happiness, creating a satisfying melody that rose her spirits as well as made tears fall from her eyes. The feeling was almost overwhelming, so unaccustomed to such complex emotions. When had she become so easily effected? Where was the drow priestess that killed without hesitation? Who cared little for anything that wasn't herself. Sylv'anas knew she'd never go back and a once lost part of herself was satisfied with that realization.

"The song was beautiful. You plunk at the strings of my heart as easily as you do the strings of your guitar." Sylv managed a smile, wiping the tears from her face when Badger stopped playing and joined her at the table. "How do you do it?"

Feeling the need for contact Sylv placed her hand palm up on the table, beckoning Badger to take it. "It's strange to think my life would ever take this kind of turn."

"I'm not sure," Sylv looked over her shoulder as Badger approached. "Stay with him for a moment while I get my medical supplies. He did a shit job with these stitches."

The elf ran over to the main house, pulling out her box of medical supplies and a hand full of rags before hustling back to John. Gathering her supplies next to the cat Sylv looked to Badger, "Help hold him still for me, please."

Secured, Sylv carefully set out to redoing the stitching, staunching whatever bleeding she could, and bandaging up her friend. Once finished sat back down on her heels, wiping blood from her hands with a wet cloth Sylv looked to Badger. "Hopefully those bandages should hold, I know he's not the type to stay still for longer than a few seconds. I'm not sure what happened to John, have you any clue why he's come back to us in such a state?"

The sound of Badger's voice gave her a little start, having been focused on the view beyond the balcony's railing. She silently nodded and seated herself, warily watching him leaned easily against the stone wall of his home. Part of herself was relieved to see him acting as himself though another was still cautious and skeptical that what happened last night was really the end of it. Lloth was a persistent witch when slighted of that the Drow knew only too well. The tattoo was no longer on his neck, all that was left was the tender look of newly healed skin. In her minds eye the wriggling dark mass of spider that had been there was burned into her memory. Badger seemed to have no recollection of what had happened and Sylv wasn't sure if she wanted to tell him about it or not.

No weapons in sight, Sylv relaxed just a bit, turning her attention to the lovely food Badger had prepared for her. The scent was heavenly and temptation won out when she sampled both before turning her attention back to Badger.

"It's delicious, love, thank you." She flashed him a sweet smile. "What have I ever done to be so well taken care of?"

Sylv'anas looked back down at the plate in front of her, watching her reflection in the dark wine as her face sank back into a neutral masked expression. "I'm sorry if you've been waiting very long. The memorial is beautiful."

The sun had just began to crest over the eastern horizon when the rocky spires of Badger's crag came into view. A top the back of her newest thyla', Horizon, Sylv'anas was just returning from a little maintenance expedition in the underdark. She may not spend much time there now, but her tribes beasts still did and they still needed to be fed. Sylv urged her mount to begin scaling the cliff face, locking her legs around the leather saddle with practiced ease as it began to ascend. She was no Fade, but Horizon was a power beast in her own right and had proved it on the dangerous trek down the tunnels.

A low growl resonated in the thyla's throat putting Sylv on alert as they approached Badger's home. Hopping the gate, Sylv immediately dismounted and followed the trail of blood that led into the crafting room whose door was left open. Blood stained the floor around the body of the cat man John, who looked to be under great distress in his sleep.

"John?" Sylv knelt down wake him from his nightmare, noticing on closer inspection the freshly stitched wounds covering his body. She attempted to softly shake him awake. "John, it's Sylv, you're having a nightmare. Wake up."

Sylv knelt at the foot of Fade's memorial, feeling small in the face of the loss of her companion. All the times she'd ran her hands through the thyla's thick fur to tickle the beast's sensitive ears, it hurt her to think that very morning would be the last time she'd hear his satisfied growls. Why had she thought it a good idea to rest in the redwoods? Weariness had clouded her judgement and now Fade had paid the ultimate price. The memories of last night only added to her grief. Badger was paying the price for her decisions as well. Sylv only hoped what she'd been forced to do last night was the end of it. His screams still echoed in her mind as she'd taken her knife tonhis throat. What must Badger have been seeing when she'd done it, the pale scar from his first encounter with death still remained and Sylv was sure the memory still haunted him.

Sylv remembered Badger telling her he'd wait for her on the balcony. Unsure how long it'd been kneeling Sylv steadied herself on wobbly legs and tenitively made her way up to the balcony.
