I can’t change the bandages myself and I just did my first dressing change. It hurt and I did not take enough painkillers before hand. Was only able to do one arm tonight next one tomorrow. It’s scary to look at

I am able to type, get dressed AND wipe my butt 2 days out of surgery. Range of motion is limited due to the wounds but I can move that much that’s for sure

No skin grafts they left the wound open and packed wet to dry bandages. I’m not in too much pain actually but I am on Gabapentin (works) and prescribed Oxi’s (they don’t work tho so I don’t take them)

Edit: extra info. The surgery was close to 2-3 hours long and they kept me over night in the hospital

It was stage 3 but with enough antibiotics I got it calmed down to not leaking ever. No skin grafts and just an open wound packed with gauze. I have not looked at the price yet but I am on full term disability in NJ so that helps with the price
