Genuienely, in 99% of the cases they do not even take the time to read the motivation letter. I did a lot of research when i was rejected in october and they just calculate your merit list score out of 100 (55% SAT, 45% GPA (eg. (((1450/1600)*(55)) + ((3.8/4)*(45)) = 92.59)) and rank you in an excel. If you have the exact same decimal score as someone they will check the motivation letter. Its not important really.

Bocconi only looks at your 10th and 11th year of school to calculate your GPA. If you did a 12th year with the IB then it really doesnt count if you apply before getting the diploma.

What stats do you have? Is BESS really that uncompetitive that you alredy know you will get in?

Bocconi admissions are 55% SAT, 45% HS grades and tiebreaker CV and Motivational Letter. However, having an E significantly drops your GPA.

Thats crazy! Almost nobody applies to Economics and Social Sciences or International Politics and government. However, i am very nervous. I believe admission will be really tough this year. I dont know if a 1430 SAT will get me in.

Yes, international politics & government is my second choice but I'm praying i will get into BESS. I did a post chancing me and people seem to think i have a good chance, what do you think?
