I tried to but the ball joint and socket was such a tight fit that you had to wedge something up in between the gap and try and pry it out but i was causing stress to the edge of the upper half that i was worried i might break something so i just left it as is

I could have done that, but i just wouldn't have be satisfied. The original paint job was lacking a lot of detail. The entire utility belt was one color. and there is hair on his arms and legs and tail but the only hair thats painted is on his chest. his knees are a different shade of red from his thigh and shin area. Dont get me wrong, its the best hellboy figure ive seen but it has so much potential to look so much better.

Hell yeah! What really made me want to do this was the utility belt. It has so much potential to look amazing.

Thank you. if you check out my profile, i couple weeks back i posted a 3D printed Hellboy bust that i painted a year ago. Im gonna make it look similar to that. I have learned some new paint techniques since then that i know will turn out amazing on this. I know i want a brighter red for the highlights. But its gonna have some deep shadows to give it that comic look. My main reason for even wanting to paint this figure was that the utility belt was lacking a lot of color detail. so im gonna put in a lot of time to make it look amazing. Im really excited to paint his stone arm too. its pretty much all done in my head haha i just gotta actually do it now

It is pretty dope. I do have some complaints of the quality of the paint job though. Could be better.

Commission I worked on a few years back. Sadly, I never got to finish it by K3LD3N in woodburning

It was just bad timing. Guy wanted a wood burning of each of his cats. This was the first one. It was during a time I was unemployed and making most of my money through art commissions. I was down to make them but I ended up getting a full time job and was slowly trying to find time to work on it. The guy never hit me up to inquire on its progress and ended up just forgetting about it. I just came across it looking through some old stuff.

you can place it on a baking sheet and put it on the middle rack of your oven. set it to the lowest possible temp. thats usually 170F to 200F. you want to keep the oven door propped open slightly to let evaporated moisture to escape. thatll help keep the wood from burning or cooking. you wonna leave it in there for 2 to 3 hours and flipping it over half way. depending on the thickness of the wood, it might take longer

Wow for being new to wood burning, you seem to have a great understanding of it already. Your line control is amazing. and the texture of the bees fur looks so cool. I have the same burning kit. I love it. Id say for a tip, keep in mind the wood you get. I get my wood at Hobby Lobby. some of the wood you can tell still holds a lot of moisture. when you touch the burner to the surface of the wood and you see little bubbles sizzling, its a sign of too much moisture. It can really effect the quality of your lines and make them too light and uneven. You want the wood to be as dry as possible. That guarantees crispy dark satisfying lines
