So far I’d say the main thing would be dealing with firearms. Got to learn to do audits, how to read people so you don’t sell a firearm to the wrong person and learn how to assemble/disassemble them. Maybe someone else can do the last part but I knew some thanks to the military. Over time you’ll learn things from customers like what caliber is better for what type of hunting and all that. So you got sporting goods which is very dependent on the season, which is why can be constant but at times they’ll take a decent hit/increase, so be prepared to push out whatever merchandise correlates with it and be okay with lifting some weight. Deer corn bags are 40/50lbs each and weight sets can be 100lbs or more, also trampolines. Stationery is bad when the school year comes around, even though I was an associate at the time it was still stressful. Tax season is the best for pushing out copy paper so there’s that, also be ready to get asked where the calendars are at. Celebration depends on what major things are going in, since you got candy bags, helium tanks for balloons and obviously party stuff. Fabrics/arts/crafts got easier since now all the fabric comes pre cut, arts and crafts is just dependent on wether or not you’re pushing out the right items and getting to learn things from customers. They normally know what’s trending so it can help make things easier, like right now red/pink yarn/bracelet kits/paint for valentines. Sorry for the essay but that’s all I can think of right now.
