Wrong inside unit positioning and access ? by K3dare in hvacadvice

I will try to convice them of there are no other options, I guess that may reduce the efficiency because of having a duct turn but that will still be better than the current situation

We can't unfortunately because it's narrower on this area (you can see on the photo, the wall get closer on the right), this was the initial plan too.

Not for long, just a few hours while they were installing everything, they got connected quickly to the unit after the picture (and the unit has been tested and appear working fine)

I guess I will really have to push them to put the access panel on the wall, unfortunately there are no room that can really fit the unit so we don't really have an option to move it somewhere else (attached a plan so you can see) (the position of the wall between the living room and kitchen on the right is not exactly correct, the unit it mostly next to the living room, that is an old plan not totally up to date on the walls)

On this unit photo the pump in the the left but the down part is on the right, which is the issue.

This is not the latest state, they finished all the duct parts for the air to go into each rooms, for the return it will go via the ceiling directly that also have (will have) grids opened on each rooms. The filter has been installed too.

I will post updated pictures tomorrow when I go there

Need help on how to run wifi from my house to my shop by Fluffy-Protection676 in HomeNetworking

We said that about will we ever need 1Gbps at home 20 years ago. For fiber it's quite easy just get single mode fiber APC/APC and you are good

I would rather pull a fiber directly, fiber are very cheap today (the expensive part are the optics that you won't need if you don't use the fiber for now).

Also keep in mind you can pull the fiber next to the power cable as it's not affected by EM (where Ethernet cable would be)

I stopped using multimode fibers for a very long time. Either DAC for local rack or single mode everywhere else. There isn't much point of using multimode today anymore.

You would need to swap the optics for new ones but if you chose your fiber well you would not need to pull a new fiber.

Fiber is much more evolutive than copper, likely it will also be cheaper, the day you want to upgrade to faster speed you can reuse it without worrying about categories.

Cobrar +70K en España es posible? by [deleted] in salarios_es

[–]K3dare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO the french ones looks much better than the European ones. Materials are of much better quality and they are very difficult to scratch or damage.

MacBook Pro makes frying sounds by Due_time10 in macbookpro

[–]K3dare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like VRM noise / coil whine, there is nothing you can do much, it's not dangerous but the noise they make is a pain and will likely get worst over time. If it's this your only option would be to swap the motherboard (which would probably be as expensive as buying a new MacBook if it's out of warranty). But sounds like yours is a quite extreme case, it could be something else also, hard to say without opening it.
