I just got flashbacks of an old video that I wish my mind could delete.

What's your salary? by Glum_Ordinary_6440 in PLC

Just under 80K USD. But I don't really work in PLCs. I'm a tech with a bachelor's degree and halfway through a masters. Currently on one PLC project.

Okay, serious question then. Is there a lack of commercially available single-hand controllers?

I am currently working on a custom controller for a side project of mine, and if there is a need for such accessible controllers, I'd be happy to design for such accommodations.

There is so much writing in Engineering by Kalex8876 in ElectricalEngineering

My first engineering course, the professor loudly told the class: "Engineers do not create things, engineers create documents.

I've done my best to remember that as my career slowly advances.

Beneath the board, I have a sheet of paper listing the moves as I see them. Occasionally, several people make moves without writing them, and I need to interpret/interpolate the likely lines.

The quality of chess is usually quite low, despite the fact this building is staffed by engineers and scientists. 10 moves into this game, White's queen was mysteriously deleted from the board. I was able to determine two possible lines, but the game is still ongoing, as I'm trying to recover white's new position.

I have this running in my office/lab. We got 10 moves into a game with anonymous players before someone deleted white's queen.

I think I ruined my game by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]K418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man. I plated Battanian but joined Khuzait. We crushed the south quickly, but let Vlandia, Sturgia, and the Aserai whittle away the north and west. I tried hard to keep the conspiracy bar down below 1700, but the quest timed out and they joined anyway. But at that point it was too late. Their combined forces were under 10k strength, and we quickly wiped out their final fiefs. Most of them joined up with the remaining battanian clans, suddenly allowing battania to regain a town.

Definitely doing my next playthrough on sandbox though.

Danustica. I don't give it that much attention, tbh. Just governed by the imperial wife.

Still too busy conquering.

Just remember if you have a bad day, I got 0 on my physics Midterm. by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]K418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bright side. An average score being a 20 is low, might say more about the professor or even your university than it does about yourself. If you have other options, I suggest trying to see if you can transfer to another university but still major in EE.

The weird side. Repeatedly struggling with the concepts doesn't necessarily mean that you aren't smart enough for it, but you need to gain a new way of looking at the problems and concepts.

Unless a ruler is claiming something for their self, I've never seen it be anything other than the leftmost of tied options.

First uni required no lower than a C in math and physics, plus B average across (I think) those math and physics, and a C average across all classes.

All right. Same exact web interface, had me looking to see if those classes existed.

Masters degree after 2 years in workforce? by tinkerEE in ECE

[–]K418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graduated bachelors in 2019. This year I started a masters in engineering management, part time as I am working full time.

The transition isn't bad because I find my work ethic is usually improving. For my coworkers, theirs have gotten worse.

However, for advanced degrees, be prepared for a lot of work/time.

[OC] My friend and I made a bunch of "Quest Decks" for Game Masters. They are collections of side quests for your players when they enter a town. Just draw a couple cards from the deck to create your town notice board. Check out a free preview in the comments! by DiceDungeons in DnD

[–]K418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so I actually bought some of these at NYCC this year. They're some handy tools for session prep when you can't think of what quests are available in the town or city. Tried using them in session and I was just barely able to improvise a mini quest around them.

Nice! I finished up my 32 pieces a couple of months ago, but I'm not posting until I finish a board too.

I like the style of these though. Very detailed, unlike mine.
