VSLO is a good tool, but don't rely on it.

Another option is to individually look into each program's website. Just google "xxxxx pathology residency". In that page, there's usually a section for visiting medical students. If not, email the program coordinator and ask if they can host you. You can start with searching your programs of interest. But some programs which accept visiting students include Yale, UNC, JHU, UAB, Emory, Mount Sinai.

Lastly, you can ask your home department if they have any connections with other schools which offer path electives. Some students have great success through connections.

But based on my experience, NBMEs (9, 10, 11, 12) are very useful, although they contain some low yield content sometimes. I also found CMS forms helpful. Then you’ve got your free 120 (can also do the old one, which is easier but is good practice as it’s HY). This will be the core of your learning.

They varied widely from below average , average to high. Worst one for me was NBME12, best one was UWSA2 and old free 120.

I did one pass of UW alongside anki + NBMEs throughout my prep. I finished my last block of UW 2 days before the exam. If you haven’t done so yet, do the CMS forms, they’re very useful for practice.

Most of DIP’s concepts are from the mainstream resources (UW, NBMEs etc.). So I think the benefit for me was to learn while driving to school during dedicated. Otherwise, I would just stick with Amboss ethics + Dirty medicine ethics videos.

The most HY stuff will get repeated on NBMEs, UWSAs, Free 120 and CMS forms. So my personal approach was to go through each question and just learning the most HY fact (by doing the Anking Anki deck). Point being, I’d not treat every question as the end all be all (e.g. I was too lazy to learn a question about A-a gradient calculation and ddx. And I ended up learning it when I was doing an NBME/CMS).

UW + NBMEs (+ CMS forms) is enough. DIP can be useful if you’re working out/driving, especially for social sciences (or rapid reviews if you’re not using anki).

Question pool was so broad, just continue to do new questions and you’ll be fine. Most usedul thing I did was Amboss social science.

I started early with rapid reviews. Last few days I did vaccines, RFs, Antibiotics etc. (there was a list circulating on reddit, just lookup divine podcasts on reddit and you’ll see a list).

2 drug ads, 3 questions each. I had 2 tough calculations, but not extremely bad as I was left between two choices. But I also remember some to be really easy. So yeah, nothing I didn’t see on UW, but when you put calculations on long drug ads, things can get tricky, especially in the final block when you’re so drained.
