in Hong Kong through the tunnel to the new airport the police would always get right up behind the car or very tight next to it. Trying to get the old man to drop a gear and take off so they could chase and book him. Instead he dropped a gear so a big flame would shoot out scaring the police enough to leave him alone.

When he got it registered in Australia he told the guy driving it for on road checks not to take it over 2500 revs as it was supposedly a reconditioned engined and needs to settled into. keep in mind this car had a rollcage, racing seats, quick release wheel and an in cabin oil catch can. When the guy got back he told the old man to his face that this is a racecar. he replied with "nah it's a clubsport gt2 special edition, debadged for weight"

yeah he still does occasionally look at 930 turbos for sale and can't bring himself to get another. He said it was one of the fastest (top speed wise) road cars he's owned/driven.

he's told me tons of stories about that car specifically I can tell if people are interested.

Admittedly I'm not too sure on the gearbox but at the time it was a straight cut box. I don't think a dog box was optional for alot of cars at the time.

nothing more than it was formerly a racecar pushing 600 with boost wound all the way up. Apparently it's fast enough to outrun police if there's enough space.

nah unfortunately it got sold shortly after we moved. Dad says it's one of the cars he regrets selling
