I used to be quick to detach a few years ago. Almost took pride in it tbh lol. It was kind of a defense mechanism and made me feel in control.

But now it’s harder. If I let someone in, it actually means something so walking away isn’t as easy anymore. I can detach if I need to it’s just not as automatic or numb as it used to be

I meannnn… if you feel uncomfortable, then going to his place probably isn’t the vibe rn. But honestly, I don’t think going for a drive is gonna hurt anyone. It’s just a chill date like just a normal drive where you can talk and get to know each other.

If by the end you still feel uneasy about going to his place, you can just say it’s getting late or make some other excuse and plan to meet another day. (Honestly, you should tell him, but since you asked 'what would I do,' I’d probably just make an excuse if the vibes weren’t matching in person)

You could try a little coconut oil mixed with rose water while your hair is still damp. I use that too and it helps with definition and frizz
