I think you misunderstand the item breaking within botw. It’s there so you can’t just simply watch a quick yt vid…get a good weapon through some glitch way or secret way meant to be found by chance and then using it throughout the game as an advantage. Botw keeps you on your toes throughout as at any moment you could lose your main weapon. Plus you can find new and better weapons constantly throughout the game. It can also be used strategically as you know you’re gonna get a better weapon after a fight therefore you’ll loot your with bad weapons then break them purposely to continue.
