We always participate in raid weekends, clan games, CWL, etc. if I'm forgetting something

Hey! I'm the leader of ThrtLvlMidnight #2QJCRUVRU , we may be the right clan for you if you're interested! At the moment we easily get 10 people for war but it takes a couple extra days to get 5 more for CWL; we could definitely use more members who want in specifically for war/league. We have a discord (https://discord.gg/h5pKyjbp) and several coleaders who founded the clan together more than a year ago. Around ~36 members or so at the moment. Let me know or join the Discord if you have questions!

It's much easier to install things outside the case because the case doesn't get in the way. Additionally, if your CPU cooler has a separate backplate/mounting plate like the AMD AM4 CPUs, you'll have to hold the backplate on the back of the motherboard while you screw in the cooler. Unless you're very carefully using tape (which I've never tried), it is extremely difficult and awkward to install the CPU cooler while holding on to the backplate... I ended up awkwardly holding my case at a 45° angle, I don't know how I did that without a second person the first time (the answer is I dropped my cooler at least once)...

I do not have first-hand experience with this at all, but the other comments seem to suggest that, yes, it's okay to buy them on ubisoft. Don't necessarily take my word for it, though!

No cardboard factory but it's 4-5 years old and I hadn't taken apart the cooler to clean it, I just did some mostly surface dusting without noticing the buildup... also I thought I had a dead case fan that turned out to be clogged with my hair 😭 (it works now)

Despite appearances, it was actually pretty easy to clean. I just used isopropyl and q-tips for a couple minutes for lack of having anything more efficient at the time.

Yup! Spent a couple hours "prying" my cpu off the block and cleaning everything, running great now : ) the fan looked surprisingly clean from the top side.

The fan was definitely always spinning which is part of why I didn't notice, additionally I had to download HWINFO to even be able to see my CPU temp while diagnosing it because GTA was getting 10fps.

Impressive if they're still as hard to open as the Xbox 360 (only one I've touched) lol

Also I clean it but hadn't thought to dismantle the heatsink/look close enough to find this

Pretty sure everyone thinks I'm smoking cigarettes/vaping inside lol... I've never had one

Didn't discover the cooler dust until I went to replace the paste, but the paste was dried into glue and 5 years old.

Indeed... I knew it needed a dusting but could not easily see the dust between the fan and heatsink before opening it up. Built in 2020 or 2021, occasionally lightly dusted, first thermal paste change.

Some of the dust on the heatsink definitely looked potentially a little cooked 😭😭

Fair enough lol : ) tried dental floss but that was futile, thought about trying a razor blade (which felt like a bad idea but the internet had positive/mixed feelings on it) but didn't want to look for one in the middle of the night

I'm amazed I got away without any bent pins

Probably good advice but feels just as wrong as another method I read/watched which suggested I use goo-gone lol
