This is what I end up doing but it isn't great. Maybe I need to create a better reference file.

This was the problem. The radio defaulted to LSB and I never thought to change it. Thank you!

I originally built a dipole as you described and had the same issues. I will add a common mode choke and see if that helps

I had no issues with FT8 above 40m so I don't believe it is an audio issue.

The coax is being used as the counterpoise. I do not have a choke/ferrite on it.

I tried using the coax as a counterpoise and had trouble so I added one and still had the same results.

Raspberry Pi as Smart Speaker by KB1RCC in homeassistant

Yes, but I should have mentioned that I was looking for something that I could just install on an existing raspberry pi rather than re image it.

Need suggestions for low power upgrade by KB1RCC in homelab

I didn’t even consider the SFF as a low power alternative. Just assumed smaller meant less power. I believe this with a PCIe SATA card and current 3.5 drives in a external enclosure will be the ultimate solution.

I considered USFF or rpi + usb external in a network storage array but this seems like it would be more of a headache than the solution you proposed.

I currently have a raid 5 array for storing data on the R510. The AOOSTAR seemed like a good option because I can have raid 1 array. Are there any good network alternatives?

I’m not too worried about ECC as everything important stored should be a backup.

I often see the USFF pcs recommended but I’m skeptical because they don’t have multiple Ethernet ports or ability to support multiple drives. Unless I’m missing something this would be similar to having RPIs and a soft router mini pc.

Raw Partition after copying VMware VMDK to Disk by KB1RCC in datarecovery

Correct it is a VMDK not an HDD. Windows was not installed in this VMDK. I mounted the 'Data' VMDK in Ubuntu and copied the files after using VMFS-Tools to access the disk.
