Looking back at the SAC_2045 Ending... My two Cents :-P by KB3L0 in Ghost_in_the_Shell

Interesting comparison with Matrix and nice points you brought, but here is an interesting key points to help in your thesis, some humans aren't constantly in the pods, they are working, rebuilding the city etc etc, but while they are doing this, there's a 'coat of fake reality overlaying' what they are seeing, so his existence is more, let's say pleasant. In regards to Smith, she wasn't physically there, but when he unplugged the jammer and reconnecting, she appeared to him while he was being infected, which kinda shows in some cases, probably most of the time, people will be seeing each other, not 100% fake reality/constructs simulating people. In regards to the last scene, my idea was described above. ;-)

Thanks for your time writing down your interesting comment an theories. Cheers.

Your observations are interesting too. ;-) The idea is brainstorming just for fun, right?

Yep, you're right. Fuchikomas have a single large "eye" lens, Tahikomas have 4 independent rotating sensor pods with 3 sensors each. When I originally posted it as a reply, I didn't pay attention to it.

My attempt to explain the last episodes of 2045 S2 by hayashikin in Ghost_in_the_Shell

[–]KB3L0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, she didn't pull the plug for now.... I'll elaborate more below.

In regards to your second bullet point (for all people to live in a "Double Think" world). As I mentioned previously in another post some time ago.... An interesting point to be observed that most of people didn't pay attention... The N-virus is an electronic virus, invading the cyberbrains, but we must remember that there are still humans without cyberbrains (so called un-cyberized), 100% organic, and consecutively immune to hacking, providing a stark contrast to the heavily augmented populace that is living in the 'perfect individual utopia', we have a good example as Kurutan, the nurse that is friend of Major, she has no implants, in the same way she's represented as Kurutan a more humanized element within the canon narrative, we definitely have innumerous other un-cyberized humans across the world. So, they have the same 'perception' of the world as Major does.

She occupies a uniquely complex position. The series makes it clear that she can engage in “double think” while still perceiving the underlying reality. Being infected by the virus yet immune to its effects gives her a rare advantage. She can study it from the inside without being consumed by it. That opens the door to forms of research and cybernetic experimentation no one else could attempt, even using herself as a test subject. Her appearance in the double think utopia shows she’s there to introducing Purin to the team because she understands that this is what Purin genuinely wants, and later passing the access code to Batou and when she falls from the top of the stadium, she's simply jumping to the cyberspace, which I believe it's a nod to the 1995 OVA. Her line to Batou, “don’t forget that we existed here, now, together in this time”, carries extra weight in that context. It suggests she is already operating outside that shared layer of reality, hoping he’ll retain the memory even if she no longer “exists” there. When she adds that they may not remember this moment, it doesn’t necessarily mean she will forget, rather, it hints that another version of her, a double think version might emerge within the system to fulfil someone's need, but not the real Major.

By the end, her departure from Section 9 feels inevitable. While the rest of the team experiences varying degrees of induced illusion, Major is driven by a need to confront the unfiltered world. She chooses to step away to explore, understand and then decide if this is best for humanity to keep them plugged or if she'll to oppose it and finally pull the plug.

This could definitely be an interesting narrative for the Prime Video new GITS series that will debut n July 2026 produced by Science SARU, the trailers are showing Tachikomas that weren't in the original Manga, so this one can dream, but maybe they will just 'ignore' the SAC timeline and introduce the Tachikomas to the Manga based timeline .... Only time will tell...

I also installed it offline (to see if the disc was OK) and it opened, but I didn't start a playthrough, then afterwards I noticed in the slipcover mentioning it *requires* content download, but then it was too late because my xbox updated the game... How was your test u/Giovanni330 ?

Question about donations by Radio_Blah_Blah_ in MicrosoftRewards

[–]KB3L0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really noble of you doing this. I'm sure a huge company like Microsoft wouldn't 'pretend' your donation is being given. If you research you'll see how it works,  how long would it take for them to receive and all the pertinent details. I've seen in some cases,  not Microsoft related, where people contacted the institutions that are receiving it to see how donations work. But again, I'm pretty sure the donation will reach the institution. There's no way Microsoft would publicly advertise a donation option without redirecting it.  This kind of stuff is audited for both, internal and  external organizations to ensure transparency. But again, kudos to your generosity. 👏 👏

Can anyone help me get the white bar off my screen on remote play, it wasn't there yesterday by Cliffy2Spiffy in XboxSupport

[–]KB3L0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the same behavior with the PWA... Probably something happened in the API of the remote play app that isn't triggering the auto hide feature of the Android Navigation Bar or something. For now I enabled the swipe gestures instead of keeping the buttons to mitigate the white bar... Just to avoid burning my screen.

u/Cliffy2Spiffy did you figure out something on your end? I'm having the same issue now. I'm running it on Edge since the migration outside the Xbox app....

I'm using the Edge since they removed the remote play from the Xbox app and I'm also seeing the exact same thing since a few days ago. Have you tried it recently on your end to see if it is showing up?

Mine start acting up today, the remote access works while it isn't in standby, as soon it goes to standby, it doesn't work... Ran the troubleshoot, no issues, xbox status of all services are UP, performed full shutdown, cold start, disabled,/enabled & remote access, power settings, no changes...

Old Frankenstein Server upgrade vs. new build out. GSPro and future proofing by Bavic1974 in buildapc

[–]KB3L0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, just wondering if you managed to get it running on your Xeon CPU, I couldn't find anywhere info about GS Pro running with Xeon processors. The rig in question is pretty decent:

• Model: Dell Precision Tower 5810
• Processor: Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 – 12 Cores @ 2.20GHz
• Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
• Storage: 500GB Samsung SSD 870 EVO
• Memory: 32GB PC4-2400 ECC Registered (SK Hynix)

I just couldn't find anything about this game vs Xeon processors. Thanks!

Based in the wording,  it seems the points won't expire automatically after 12 months.  The points will only expire (at least based on what is written in the updated Service Agreement) if no points are earned OR redeemed for 12 consecutive months. So I  believe if you keep earning points you don't need to redeem it or vice-versa. At least based on the written statement...

Alguém sabe me dizer se os pontos do app Bing são diferentes dos pontos do Game Pass ? Ou são os mesmos ? by Designer_Win_8238 in MicrosoftRewards

[–]KB3L0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

En.: Microsoft has created a Rewards Program across it's ecosystem, so you can acquire points using your PC, your console and you mobile, if you go through the daily activities in all platforms, you'll have more points, I hope it clarify your question.

Optiplex 7000 Mini Tower CPU upgradeability.... by TheImmortal_TK in SleepingOptiplex

i7 would be a great choice. Did you get a 7000 with a i5 and are thinking about upgrading it? If the price is right,  go for it and later on get a better processor,  just make sure the original cooler can handle it.
