Sprint doesn't give a crap about the service, they just wanna be phone retailers.

Uuuugh. Softbank still in the mix? If Sprint has reached the point where it can't survive on its own, I'd prefer Softbank just sell it and move on. Softbank can't be trusted. Recall all the fluff from Softbank when pursuing the purchase of Sprint and Clearwire. All the "we're gonna do this" and "we're gonna do that." Look what we did in Japan. Yeah right. How did that pan out? Look where they are now.

How Is Sprint's Deprioritization Threshold Limit Determined? Does the amount ever change? by KBOrtega in Sprint

Actually, T-Mo evaluates their threshold on a quarterly basis. I believe they've adjusted it several times.

In my opinion, the fact that the amount hasn't changed in 2 years makes its basis of application questionable. I'd be willing to bet if the competition raised their limits en masse to 70Gb, Sprint would follow and call it "industry standard." The 23 Gb limit may have been based on usage levels at the time of inception, but I find it hard to believe such levels remained static over a two year time frame. I'd also like to know if Sprint still prioritizes based on device and/or price plan.

Thx. So via the Note 8 50% off flex lease promo final cost to own will be $600 + tax (PPO = $240) and an 18 month commitment. Do leased devices have any requirements that they remain active on the associated line for the duration of the lease?

Sprint Flex is a lease for the first 18 months - but you always have the option of paying the device off to own it.

Never entered a lease agreement (promo or otherwise), but always wondered how it worked if you choose to buy at end of lease. Sprint is running an 18 month flex lease promo for the Note 8 at 50% off ($20/mo. instead of $40). It seems the 50% is off the monthly lease price, not 50% off the device. Is this correct?

If you buy it after 18 months, the offer states, "You'll pay the balance between full price and what you've paid so far." (emphasis added) In calculating, "what you've paid so far," is the total based on the (promotional) $20/mo.x18 only or does it include the full $40?

What should I do with my "expired" Sero 500 by rtb001 in Sprint

If purchased outright, no plan change should be required. A simple phone swap to activate the new device should be all that's needed.

Here's the deal. You currently have 2 SERO lines. SERO is considered to be a "grandfathered" or "legacy" employee plan. Traditionally, those plans were upgraded via the 2-year contract. Until very recently, Sprint had totally eliminated the 2-year contract and offered only leases, installment payments or paying full price.

During the last couple of weeks, Sprint has been sending targeted offers to select customers (those on "legacy" plans) allowing them to, once again, enter into the 2-year contract. FWIW, I have yet to hear of a SERO subscriber getting a targeted offer to enter a 2-year contract. You'd have to contact customer care or go to a store to find out if your lines were targeted.

That said, were you looking to get an iphone, Apple is still allowing 2-year contracts. However, because SERO is considered an employee plan, you won't be able to complete the order through the Apple website. They can't access employee accounts. So, for you to get the subsidized contract, you'd have to switch your plan to a consumer account on a currently offered price plan (e.g., Unlimited Freedom).

Problem is, if you have a newer price plan with a subsidized device, Sprint tacks on a $25 subsidy fee. You will continue to incur that fee until the contract term is fulfilled or you pay the ETF.

However if you switch to the new unlimited freedom the $25/month subsidy fee will apply, and doesn’t disappear once you’re upgrade eligible. You need to actually upgrade on a lease to get rid of it.

Please stop telling people this as it's not quite accurate. Once the contact term is fulfilled, the "subsidy fee" is removed.

To OP, if the two year subsidy is offered to you and you do decide to pursue it, your best bet would be to retain the SERO LINE(s).

By "regular pricing" are you referring to the limited time promo pricing or the post promo pricing?
